Topic: Finally finished !! (with photos) Posted: 18 June 2006 at 8:05pm |
Either the last brain cell I had left up there has gone on holiday and left me to it, or the topic I had with my other nursery photos has disappeared. So, I apologise for starting a new one to clog the boards up with, BUT I don't apologise for wanting to show off the nursery door now that it is finally finished !!
The top
The bottom
The whole thing
That pretty much ties things up, as I finally got the venetian blinds down (they were in there when we moved in but ugly and broken anyway) and some net curtains up - didn't think to take a photo of those while there was still any natural light around to make them worth looking at
So, my bag is packed, my house is pretty damn tidy (save for the office LOL), the nursery is ready - now all I really *DO* need is the baby

I love it! The butterflies look fantastic, and like everyone has said, the little note at the bottom is gorgeous! Well done! Now you can sit back and wait for bubs!

Not to put a jinks in it but I do hope the scan person (radiographer?) didn't get the sex wrong and your expecting a Erik instead of an Erin?
Cool and love the message down below.

Shoosh ! Now that the nursery is finished, I have more time to think than ever LOL Naughty girls putting such evil thoughts in my head... haha... mind you, hubby said the same thing once, so I said we'd change the 'N' to a 'C' and he'd just have to wear a LOT of pink. As for the note, that would be sanded off and 'girl' would be replaced with 'boy'

gee jax, she hasnt stopped talking about the "butterfly door"..... to the point of asking if she can have one. Oh dear, as i strongly doubt daddy will be open to the idea of butterflies (or anything) on doors that he has painted. Maybe we will make a name plate for it instead.
Very very artistic of you, and motivated.... you have how long to go? crikey, not much lying on the couch watching oprah for you!

Uh oh LOL What have I done? Two and a half weeks left to go here, yikes! Looking forward to it though, no matter when she decides to come
With the door, I just wanted part of the room to be extra special, as the rest of it was really quite easy to put together (the door itself though was done over a few weeks) - everything is ready to go now.
