Any Air NZ People?

Just wondering if anyone works for AirNZ on here?

Mum's flying down from Akl when I go into labor and we're really hoping she can get here in time for the birth. No point booking flights for obvious reasons. She'll be staying a couple of weeks after the birth.

Does AirNZ consider this kind of thing urgent where they'd help her get on a flight opposed to just having to wait till she can get a seat if they're busy considering we might be due around the holiday period?

It's not considered compassionate travel if that's what your thinking of, she would just have to buy the cheapest available ticket on the flight down.

It's only considered urgent if you or the baby were having critical problems as confirmed by the hospital doctor.

Hope that all makes sense.

Most of the grandparents to be normally just call us to book when they know they have to travel or book flights for the due date and amend as needed.
