Hannah: 6 weeks (I was tired of sneaking around her so as to not wake her all the time)
Briona: 2 weeks (she was a loud and snuffly breather and I kept waking when she was only breathing)
Kryssi: about 4 weeks, she outgrew the bassinette anyway and I was ready to walk in the middle of the night when she needed a feed

Michaela's cot was moved at about 6-7months but she continued waking up and coming into my bed every night until she first slept through at 10mo.
ETA: This baby will have to wait until at least 6mo as DH has just comandeered the spare room as his man-lounge.

We needed to move Hayden into the big cot at 14 weeks as he outgrew the basket and so had to go in his own room, I missed him at first but his room is only across the landing so I got used it it quick enough.

Leah was 2 weeks - she hated the bassinet and wouldn't sleep in it.
Joel was 6-7 weeks - i started him in his cot during the day to see if he would sleep better, then one afternoon he slept from 6-2am so I left him there after that!!
He was disturbing everytime one of us moved, had every intention of keeping him in there longer but he sleeps much better on his own.

3 weeks - she's so snorty and snuffly at night, we weren't getting any sleep. I did notice a big improvement in her sleep once she was in her own room too.

indie lasted one night!! i had made an adorable cosy corner in our room with her bassinet, a comfy chair and fairy lights....
.....but hubby drove me nuts with his paranoia (sp?) that she was choking everytime she breathed!!!
so into her own room she went!
honor was with us about a week or two as hubby had to go back to work and needed his beauty sleep and feeding her in her own room meant he got more sleep....
.....i see a pattern happening here!.....
...but really i wear the pants in this house (indie eldest daughter next in line...then honor....then maybe the cat....:)

we moved Ella into her own room at night after 3 months- the first couple of nights were the hardest on me, because I kept on having awful nightmares about something happening to her and I couldn't reach her (even through her room is right next door).
Before then she was sleeping in her room during the day and then our room at night. I don't think it would confuse her at all- in fact we found it helped her get used to get own room.

As soon as we were home from a couple of nights in the hospital! Worked well for us. Do whatever you're comfy with, whenever seems a good time for you.
