Topic: Waiting waiting waiting...... Posted: 24 June 2006 at 2:10pm |
It totally sucks!!
What is with the WAITING???
I am only 3 days overdue but STILL, I am getting frustrated with all the niggles and pains and then, nothing?!
On Wednesday morning from 3:30am - 5:30am I was having contractions... then they stopped? Braxton Hicks right?
Well I want the real thing!!!
I went out and walked all day from Mon-Thurs this week. I've been drinking Rasberry Leaf Tea four times a day every day. I've been having nice hot showers and I even ate some medium/hot food to try bring things on!! Nothing is working.
I just want to meet our little one now.
Any other suggestions???

baby's come when they are ready! theres heaps of things i've been told about to help induce labour naturally, but your body has to be ready... i went overdue 10 days too, and ended up induced. nothing worked for me and i still wasnt totally favourable at the 10 days over mark.... man, babies and our bodies can be stubborn! lol.... wont be long till you'll meet your wee baby i promise! even if it doesnt feel like it now.

but sometimes babies need a helping hand to and its not always a good idea for them to come just when they are ready otherwise babies could end up being weeks overdue. Sometimes I think we put to much trust in our bodies. Try sex and more walking hopefully it wont be much longer

Go for a drive in a car with no springs or down a bumpy road at the river. DP drove me round the back yard in his '52 Chev to help me lol

I found the bumpy ride helped me. DH took down the hillyest road and speed over each bump. 2 days later Andrew was here.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

We've been texting back and forth prior to and around her due date. The last text I received from her was on Sunday morning at bout 6am saying she'd been up with contractions for a few hours and was just waiting for them to get stronger before heading to the hospital. That was the last I heard! Hope she's on here soon to update us all.
I tell ya, every time I get a text message now I jump up to my phone thinking 'ooh is it a girl or a boy?!' hahaha

Yeah hopefully not too much longer for me! Haha, at least we can say definitely within the next two weeks, I'll have had bubs! I'm sure Wendz will keep you updated on my progress or bubs arrival as well.
