Hi, Just curious to find out what kind of reactions your babies had to their 6 week jabs. We had ours this morning and just interested to know what to expect. Finley promptly passed out for a couple of hours after and then woke and cried really hard for ages. I have the pamol they have given but wondered is it only to be used if they have a temp? |

Our doc told us to use pamol if Alex got a temp but to try not to as it can mask some of the reaction symptoms if one does occur.   We didn't end up using any but I think that Alex did react in that he was unsettled for about 3 weeks after his 6 week shots. Of course there is no proof or anything so hope Finley has no reaction at all for ya |

Pamol is good for pain and for a temp.
Daniel had a bad reaction to the hepb part I think and his leg swelled up quite bad and he wouldn't let anything touch it. But that is a bad case. The other leg was totally fine, just a small red patch where it was done.

JJ slept heaps for 2-3 days, just woke up long enough to feed at the same frequency as usual (every 3 hours or so) and went straight back to sleep after each feed. It was great, I got heaps done! (I was hoping for a similar reaction to his 3 month and 5 month jabs but he didn't have any reaction at all to those.)

Joel was fine, if anything just slept a little more than normal. With Leah she was fine for the first 2 then at the 5 month ones had high temps for about 10 days but that turned into an ear infection so don't know if it was already brewing. |

Gina gets more unsettled for about 4-5 days after her immz.
Emma gets more sleepy for about 2 days and is fine after that.
I too worried about giving Gina too much pamol for immz/teething etc when she was wee but now I figure a little Pamol is better than a bub in pain. We haven't had to use it much however, thank goodness.

E was grumpy and unsettled that night(had shots in the morning and fine all day) but mostly fine...3 month ones he woke screaming but a cuddle and rocking(1st and only time) calmed him down the last 4 times he's been great.

Caden has always been fine after his jabs. I give him pamol before hand and then afterwards sometimes he is a little bit grumpy..
He just had his 5 month ones and his left leg had a hard lump there for ages its still there but getting smaller. But he was fine in general.

Gabrielle was fine - a few tears at first and then she was a sleepy bubba for 2-3 days. Slight temp but pamol did the trick ;-)
I found it harder than her though! I cried - was awful to see her cry in pain for the first time - im such a softy lol! I took a friend with me to her next jabs :)

Daniel had no reaction to the 6 weeks. The 3 months he slept a bit more for a day or two. I did give Pamol afterward - maybe bad mother of me but oh well!
