Isabella is obsessed with those trikes that have a push handle for the parent (removeable?). Its her birthday in Feb so we thought that would make an awesome gift... until we saw they sell for around $300

What stores would we find the best deals on these? What makes are there? I reckon I'll look on Trademe for second-hand but I'm not sure what to search for to get the best result.

Anyone got any advice?

Is this the sort you mean?

We were looking at them too.  You can get them from toyworld and farmers for around $70 full price and as low as $40 when they're on sale.

The "flasher" ones (like below) are currently $139 on sale and $199 full price.

We decided to go for a glide 2 ride (which is for 3yo+ but our DD's nearly 3) and I love it already, looking forward to giving it to her at Christmastime.

If you can manage to have some money available on boxing day you may be able to get one cheap in the boxing day sales, otherwise there's likely to be sales for waitangi day too (and there will probably be more sales in the 1st 1/2 of next year than usual as retailers try to entice us to help them through the recession - JMO).
