Anyone had experience with spotting/light bleeding after sex?

I have had this for the past couple of weeks. Nothing heavy, just a wee bit.

For a while (a few days) I actually thought I was pregnant again, because I had mild bouts of nausea on and off, and seemed to be getting exhausted quite easily. But last Thursday I took a HPT and it was negative. Since then I've still been feeling a little bit off, but it could be coincidental ...

I'm just not sure about this spotting thing. I did a google search and came up with scary things! So I don't know what to think. Is it possible I'm pregnant and got a false negative, or is it likely to be something else?

Yup I had that when we started again. My doctor said it was *ahem* a bit rough on the old cervix etc lol.. If you're worried tho, get it checked out :)

I had it too... I asked my MW about it and she said that actually having sex produces hormones that make your uterus contract, so it helps to bring it back down to it's normal size again after birth... but as a consequence it can also cause some light bleeding etc. Like when your uterus contracts when you get your period.

Google isn't your friend!!

If you think you might be pregnant, I would just take it easy and rest up a bit if you can, and test again in a week or so.

Thanks for the input, littlebug and missangel.

I just tested again ... no baby here! So I'm confused but not concerned.

I wouldn't be too worried about it, unless you get it with pain as well... then you might want to talk to your MW or GP and see if they think it's normal. Mine subsided about 4 months after Chloe was born, and then I got my first and only AF

Cute profile pic, btw

No pain, just the spotting.

I just originally thought it was odd because we'd been 'intimate' since 5 weeks after the birth, and only just started getting the spotting at about 11 weeks, along with the other symptoms.
