Well I'm feeling pretty grot today with a horrible cold developing and the sore throat from hell. I warned my boss that if I still feel like this tomorrow it's doubtful I'll be in to work.

Unfortunately I think my boss has other ideas...especially judging by her "can't you take strepsils or something?".....

And what did I want to say to her?

NO I CAN'T TAKE FRIGGIN STREPSILS....OR ANY OTHER BLARDY THING THAT YOU ARE ALLOWED TO TAKE ONLY DIDN'T 'COS INSTEAD YOU ARE THE ONE WHO CAME TO WORK COUGHING SPLUTTERING AND SNEEZING EVERYWHERE, REFUSED TO GO HOME AND SPREAD THIS BLARDY COLD IN THE FIRST DARN PLACE AND BAD NEWS....I GET HIT WORST BECAUSE I'M PREGNANT AND HAVE THE LOWEST SODDING IMMUNE SYSTEM.

i agree with emma!
i hate it when people don't stay home when they are sick! it just spreads it around and i especially hate it when people who aren't preggy complain about how sick they are....at least they can have drugs to make them feel better!!

paws, i hope you don't go to work and feel better really soon! lemon and honey drinks are a must!

Can I blame preggy hormones for bopping her with the stapler?

And rest assured, if I feel like this tomorrow i'm not budging from bed...

aw no Paws, you sound like I was a few weeks ago...its the worst being sick and not being able to take anything...
ummmm well there is nothing to say about that really, just that she sounds like a stupid cow, and I second teh motion to bop her with the stapler - sounds like she deserves it anyway!
oh and by the way, you are not the only one that hates their boss, I am having serious issues with tolerating mine at the moment too so I can sympathise with you there...just think about how close you are to ending work -must be about about 8 or 9 weeks now? It will fly by and then you will be rid of the whole sodding lot!

I'm liking where that's heading, Lizzle!! He he he.

Paws, I hope you're in bed all day tomorrow regardless (after that 'strepsils' comment!).  Sounds like you need the rest anyways.  Grab a DVD or 2 on your way home tonight, I say!
