I dont know what is up with me, but lately I just want to eat 24/7. BUT the wierd thing is that I am not hungry, I am just craving food ALL the time. I dont know if it is a boredom thing (must admit I eat more at work) or what - or is it a natural impluse you get in the third trimester - I feel like a pig, I am eating and full all the time and yet I want more and more!!!!!

Me too!!! I'm not worried about it- I'm more worried about all my stretch marks I'm getting. If you feel like you want to eat- it's one of the NIKE situtations as my other half says- JUST DO IT! Haha.

i caught a 5 min glance at the tv2 show on the "overweight" kids last night and i overheard something about being tired/lacking iron etc... can make you want to eat more especially carbs... and thinking back i have been the same over the last while, not really hungry as such but eating, and i have been put on iron pills for low iron levels. im quite tired and i do get a bit bored so i think they must be some contributing factors!

Hi Mrs Frantic,
Although I haven't quite reached the third trimester yet I am a little similar to you - my eating habits are generally pretty good during the day but when I get home I feel like pigging out on all sorts - really funny! No wonder my tummy feels quite tight at night time

I am exactly the same. It was just the same when I was pregnant with my daughter too. I think about a kind of food and want to eat it, then get full really fast. Half an hour later I'm raiding the pantry again!
I rationalise it by saying that my stomach is all squashed up by baby now, and he is putting on all his fat at the moment. Making me need to eat small amounts all the time!
My problem is trying not to go for the snack foods all the time... she says biting into a timtam!
