I checked in to the Due in July thread, I think. Just not having a very flash morning, that's all - slept VERY badly last night and only got through making some chocolate chip rice bubble squares before deciding to pack it in and head back to bed. So much stuff to do today and I can't be arsed, but at the same time, the longer it gets left undone... the more irritated I get ! Can't win it seems. Midwife and physio appointments tomorrow, something to look forward to I guess?
Anyways, nite nite for now...

Okay well I'm back up and at it for now, might just get one more batch of cookies done today though and then take a break. We are almost out of baking supplies anyway ! Off to get some McDonalds now, yum yum.

Boy oh Boy!! YOu should sit down and rest!!! Or are you well and truly stocking the pantry for the next few weeks in anticipation.
I only hope I have half as much OOOMPH as you when I am 40 weeks...if I make it there!

LOL Yesterday was a lot busier than today, was feeling a bit sh*tty today so had a nice long nap, and then we went out for a bit. Might head back into the kitchen and do those cookies soon though, easy recipe so shouldn't take long.
To be honest, I get REALLY bored 'resting', unless I am asleep - which has it's own special difficulties as you can understand.

Well, I'm not sure I *can* call them niggles really, I think the more I wonder and analyse the little things the more I will drive myself crazy. That said, the appointment with my physio was good, and now all I have to do is pass the time until my appointment with my midwife

Well, I hope she does too!
In a nutshell, my midwife is on leave from Friday. Her backup midwife cannot deliver at Birthcare. Should I go into labour naturally after Friday, that means labour and delivery at North Shore hospital and transferring to Birthcare.
Should I not go into labour naturally over the weekend, I will have to go in for a quick check up at the hospital anyway, and we are likely to book an induction for next Wednesday, and the only 'up' side to this being that my midwife should be back by then. She has said we would try and just break my waters first, but would otherwise need the drip. However, the syntocinon = no water birth, and I wouldn't even be able to get into the pool ! I could still transfer to Birthcare though, and it would mean sharing a room, we can't afford to pay especially for a private one.
I had a stretch and sweep at my appointment with my midwife today, and have my acupuncture visit tomorrow. The acupuncturist said we would be likely to have two treatments, the first being more of a preparation for labour, and then a follow up two days later with an actual 'induction' treatment. However, I am going to ask her if we can go the induction route tomorrow in any case, as it can take up to 48 hours to kick in, if at all.
So, in a nutshell, Jax = not happy.
When I picked Roland up from work and told him all of this he packed a sh*tty, so I packed a sad right back at him, and we drove home in utter silence - not fun. Fixed that up by cleaning the kitchen until it was spotless and vacuuming the whole house, and then having a good blub and cuddle (and a cup of raspberry leaf tea, just for the hell of it).
I want this baby OUT !
Edited to add: And what doesn't help is that on top of it all, I'm annoyed with myself for getting upset over this in the first place - Erin's wellbeing comes first, no matter what ! I can't control how / when I go into labour, not realistically, and I have always maintained I will just accept whatever happens. I think, no... I know I can still come to grips with this, I guess I am only human and struggle to deal with change like everyone else. Things will be fine. *breathes out*

I got so annoyed when my kids were late Jax! And I was fully aware of the "blah blah come when they are ready" chat, but it doiesn't help does it! It is bloody frustrating and I think anyone who has been overdue (and a few who weren't as well) can understand fully what you are going through.

Disclaimer: I'm not actually angry at any one person or place or whatever, it's the goddamn hormones !!
It's really really not the being late that bothers me the most, that comes down to natural impatience and having always been the easily bored type. I just don't want to end up in the HOSPITAL ! Yuck yuck yuck yuck and YUCK.
I guess it's just another one of life's challenges to get me to work on my acceptance and flexibility. I'm sure things WILL be fine *sigh* Did I mention I'm naturally stubborn as well ?
As much as some days I just want to crawl into a hole and forget about it all, I really do appreciate all the support I get here. Honest !
