Was driving past just now, and noticed a sign saying Pumpkin Patch outlet now open! Hoorah!

(haven't been in yet as i am stinking broke until Wednesday)

Has anyone checked it out yet?

Yep, been there a few times and spent a small fortune.  I haven't checked it out recently but last time I went a couple of months ago they had a great selection and I got some gorgeous wee summer outfits for Michaela.  It's definitely better than the JK store in dressmart, PP has a bigger store and a better range plus more stock so you're more likely to find whatever you want in the right size.

They put the "PP Now Open" sign up about 3 months after it opened

Yip I have been several times to the Pumpkin Patch outlet and they have got some really lovely stuff.

I have been deliberately avoiding dress smart due to wasting vast amounts of cash . . .

It is probably worth a stop off on the way there or back . . .it is only just off SH1

ETA - never been to the one in Otaki though, so can't compare

No idea sorry, I've never been to the one in Otaki either, but as Susiec said it is just off SH1 (about 2 mins into Tawa) so not much of a detour if you want to check it out.  Then you can let us know how it compares

I don't think the Otaki one is that great TBH. We went down to Welly last week and stopped in Otaki and only went to Bendon.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
