For those that need a night off from cooking with a newborn or mum/dad/sibling in hospital there are branches of Bellyful around the country delivering meals. http://www.bellyful.org.nz/ or phone 0508 bellyful.
They are always looking for volunteers and people wanting to open new branches.

I volunteer for Bellyful West Auckland and we def do need more volunteers! I love helping all the families out there who need help at mealtimes :)

Also, if you're in either Auckland or Hamilton and keen for a night out and supporting a good cause at the same time, come to one of the movie nights on 5 May. I've heard the goodie bags will be great

Central Auckland Bellyful is in need of some more volunteers too! We have a lovely bunch now but need a few more.

At the moment, we're raising funds to start up, so doing bake sales, having sausage sizzles, doing the movie night on 5 May. There's lots to do, why not come to the next meeting? It'll be on the FB page when its planned, I'm not sure there's a day set yet.
And of course, we'll need help cooking once we start doing that (the plan is for June).

Hopes that sounds great. I would be keen to help out with some cooking. I have four corned beef roasts in the freezer that I want to give away. We don't eat them.
