Hmm, might watch this thread for replies as mum is in the country for the first time in 3 years so don't think I can get away with flowers or a gift basket from amazon.

I was sent an email from Free cycle & in it there was a link to an example of what a lady was looking for, so thinking of doing the same for Mum.

my sisters and i have collected samples, brought her fav snacks, body wash and made vouchers (so she can ring brother n law once about how to use the remote etc...)and putting it in a basket 4 her.

I'm saving the pennies with my little bambino due later this year, so I made my mum/mum-in-law a cute little tote bag each, made with lovely fabric in their favourite colours. It's the first time i've made something like that and they have turned out beautifully - plus they're made with love :)
