Man its hot in CHCH!

We have no available funds to invest in a paddling pool for the girls at the mo so I used one of DHs huge plastic storage bins instead The girls both fit in there perfectly its very cute! Got heaps of photos will have to put them up later.

Anyhoo just wanted to whinge about how much I'm melting....wish I fit in the storage bin lol!

Hows everyone else dealing with the heat?

I am also sooooooo hot... have the heatpump on but it's not doing the trick.. I am in the kitchen and it's in the lounge.

It's crazy! My hayfever is driving me bananas today

Can't wait to see the pics Lisa!

BTW - they have cheap as paddling pools at Pak n Save at the mo, well they did last week for under $8.00.

I suggest that those without AC go to those peoples houses that do! Oh god honestly, it's 34 degrees in Rangiora and its not even sunny! Why did they have to take away the public pool, why?!!? Thomas is in the crappiest mood, all i've done is yell, Matts closed himself away in his office working and even the dogs are going nuts. If this weather doesnt change soon i'm going to be writing a sternley worded letter to mothernature.

Or Northland!! Luke and I have been playing inside ALL day today and we are only just surviving! We don't have AC but have a pool, but too much sun at the mo - will wait for DH to come home and then we will all have a swim!

Was coping fantastically well at work with the A/C on ... but now that I've come home to a 34 degree house ... not so good. Got the heat pump going (on super jet cool!) but its still soooo hot!

The wind is the worst thing hey Lisa - it's not like you can go and find a nice cool shady spot to sit because the wind is just so hot. I've been living here for 5 years now and I'm still not used to chch's norwester!

It's not hot here at all. Weird. Quite comfy actually. Sorry you guys are getting the heat so bad. There's nothing worse especially when your feet start to swell!

Its been pretty good here too until about 4pm when the temp goes sky high...although only a mere 30 degrees.  Just put tom to bed ina 27 degree room.....he'll survive.  I have AC on but unfortunately we have doors open to let a little visiting dog in and out.

Its still 24deg outside, we have the fan on in the girls room so they will have a decent sleep.  I will have to put up with the cat coming inside so I can have the windows open enough to let some air thru.

Totally the wind takes it out of you We were living in Brisbane for a year before I had the girls so I have to admit I was handling the heat well up untill yesterday It felt an awlful lot like Brisbane this time of year.

Well it's hot again today so I might take the girlies to the botanical gardens and try them in the kiddies paddling pool they have there
