Hi there everyone,
I have just had baby no 2 and i feel i have lost confidence about everything!!
My first baby didnt cry, slept like a trooper and fed well, my milk ran out at 5 months but he was awesome, didnt cry or spill, really placid wee fella still is. Now with baby no 2, she spills a bit after feeding and crys a bit when i put her down for a sleep and it is seriously throwing me. She is sleeping more at nights which is great but when i feed her she crys when milks coming out to fast, whens shes still hungry when shes tired. I feel like im doing things wrong especially when my first didnt do anything.
Please let there be others out there in similar situations as this to know im not going completely insane!!! I have heaps of support its just me!!

Oh, babies are tricky wee things aren't they. I have it the other way round, my second baby is even more chilled than my first, but I've often mentioned if their birth order was reversed I'd have been really thrown! Just listen to your instincts and hang in there, at least this time you know how fast that first year flies, and #2 will be a toddler that you know inside out before you know it.

i always maintain that if my second had been my first he would have been my last! It is hard when they behave so differently... Just try and have faith in yourself and know that no matter what you have successfully raised one child and you CAN do it again!

Ugh, I feel your pain. DS1 was a breeze compared to this baby and every trick I used with DS1 (feeding to sleep, rocking to sleep, rocking to comfort him) doesn't work with DS2. It does knock your confidence especially when you've "done it before" - they make you feel like a complete newbie again which is paricularly hard when you have another little one to deal with as well. In fact, there is a possibility that DS2 is no harder to deal with than DS1 - it's just that you don't have the time to experiment this time 'round.

Hugs! It took me quite a few weeks to get my groove on with #3 she's a spilly little anomaly as well. Now we've got it together mostly.

Google PND have a read up & see if it's you or if it's not, I did this as a friend suggested that I might be going towards PND and it was reassuring that I didn't fit any of the symptoms, I was just super tired.
