I've always wanted one, as I have heard they are pretty good.

Of those of you who have had one or has one, how did you or do you find it?

Is it quite easy to use. As I see you attach part of it to yourself and then put baby on chest and clip in.

I've not got one, but considering buying one.

Previously I had an Elite front pack with my 2nd and found it great. But that was simply because I couldn't find a Baby Bjorn front pack in my price range back then.

And, are the older one's and the newer one's really that different? Apart from how they clip in? Like are the previous models just as good?

I've only noticed 2 differences in the clipping system on the new ones.

Before getting any style of front/back pack for baby i would recommend having a look at the Slingbabies website. Some great info on there about baby carriers. Personally i dont like the Baby Bjorn. It is not the best way to carry a child. The legs just hang there and the support for their hips and spine is minimal if at all.   I had an Ergo and loved it.

Yeah I know there are 'better' front packs out there. But honestly, being this baby was not planned, we don't have the money for the likes of Mei Tai's, Manduca or Ergo.

So would you say then, Elite is better then Baby Bjorn? Or are they in a similar field to one another?

I love my manduca but yep expensive but well worth it, so comfortable and can also wear my 2 year old :) I also have a baby bjorn and tried it on the other day and its pretty uncomfortable, no idea about the elite.

Just a quick look at the prices of them both, why not go for a Mei Tai, seems about the same as the elite, baby bjorn came up as $169!!! I managed to score a manduca 2nd hand for $180 :)

I do have a Mei Tai too, so much more snuggly than the baby bjorn, willing to sell if you are keen? Send me a PM :)

My budget is $30 or less.

As I said, this baby was not planned and I can not afford the more complimentary carriers.

I would have said yes, but I already won the auction for the Baby Bjorn last night for $24. And for the model that it is, that was a bargain. As another the same was selling for $70.

Maybe if I do some more babysitting over the next few weeks I might be able to afford it. But don't know yet how many hours I am babysitting over the next few weeks.
