My wee man (2 and a third) has been out of nappies for about 5 weeks, and we were going dry roughly every second day up until about 10 days ago, now we seem to be going through 3 or 4 changes of clothes a day. He doesn't seem to mind if he has wet pants, I left him in them the other day and he wore them quite happily. But the worse thing is when he deliberately pees - like when he has just been told off. How do I react to that when I know he has done it deliberately, but I'm not supposed to get upset when he has wet pants? Any thoughts.

it sounds to me like he wasnt really ready to toilet train if he was only dry every second day. maybe he pees when he is upset so not peeing deliberately but as a reaction to being told off and if that is the case then he is not able to hold it in so another sign he isnt ready. Maybe try him in some pull ups for a while.

I agree with Bizzy, try some pull ups for a while to save yourself the stress. Keep encouraging him to use the toilet but it will make your life easier to wait a little bit until he is really keen on using the toilet

Yea, I'd go with the above. Like Bizzy said, it's possible that he's not doing it on purpose anyway, he just pees when he's upset - and if he is, it doesn't sound like a battle I'd be keen to fight I reckon give it a break and try again in a while, hopefully it'll work out better then.
