most tests say 4 days before Af is expected but dunno I normally wait till late AF to not waste any - cause even though you might test 4 days early and get a BFN could change closer to Af

Some people get a + about 9 or 10 days after ovulation but then others don't till AF is a week late so try and hang in there till AF is due or maybe a couple of days before.

With DS I didn't know I was pregnant til I was around 8 weeks...did feel any different before hand. At the mo I'm kinda 2WW, AF is due Sun/Mon...had symptoms for around 2 weeks....nausea, headaches, tiredness...but I'm putting that down to nerves (as I was to sing at my friends wedding lolz), now I'm pretty much back to normal, a little nausea early this morning...had a kinda weird awareness of the left hand side of my uterus....and today had a stitch like cramp in that region..which I've never experienced before....was there and gone in a few seconds........I really dont think I'm pregnant (probably wouldn't think that given all the symptom stuff I've talked about lolz)....I'll definitely be floored if I am...

Yup, but they can also be explained away by other things...sometimes it's PM symptoms as well so yeah not as black and white as people may think.

I think alot of us get those symtoms - I think when you are TTC'ing you listen to your body alot more... but then again it could be pregnant signs ... fingers crossed for you and me

I'd agree with this, I was surprised how many "preggy" symptoms where actually simply me being pre-menstral.
As hard as it is your really best to wait until your due, besides if you test early you also run the risk of discovering a chemical pregnancy which you normally would not have known about. It's really not worth the heartbreak.
Good luck!

I knew I was pregnant but it would not show up on the test until the day AF was due, I was sick just after I ovulated and had heartburn, metallic taste in mouth, seedy, tired and veiny bbs. All different from normal pms symptoms other than the bbs. Plus with pms symptoms it shows up a week before AF is due for me and this was two weeks before. But it is very heartbreaking and I was feeling like I was losing my mind as I tested for two weeks and wasted alot of money on tests, tried every single different test as well lol...so yeah I think its a great idea to wait if you have the willpower

I *knew* you, Rachel or Mel would say something about me here....lol
Yes it's true I was a serial poas tester....lol...got a BFP for this one at about 11dpo I think...however the danger in testing too early is that it may give you a false negative or give you a positive on a chemical pg...which I think a few of us have had before!
PS: Rianna did you manage to wait long this time before you poas or did you just make it to 12dpo? lol

OMG I am so glad i found this site today and read these posts. I have spent most of last night and today bawling my eyes out cos i got my period last night and i seriously had been having all the pregnancy signs of morning sickness tiredness etc. Worse part was i was at a wedding when i got mine and spent most of the night holding back tears but as soon as someone asked me if i was ok the floodgates would open..........then at the end of the night and many many wines (after finding out i wasnt preg i drowned myself in wine) a guy came up to me and said "congrats for 8months time" & i said that im nt preg and he said the same thing again.........i just ran to my friends car and broke down in uncontrolable bawling Why why why would someone be so insensitive and cruel.........weve been trying for 12months now

I know how you feel Louise!!
I purposely don't buy any tests until I'm overdue now, otherwise I'll just use them all. It takes a LOT of willpower.
