Hi, I have come to this site to see if anyone else is in the same boat as I am. I feel like my doctor isn't giving me the information I am actually seeking.
I miscarried on the 3rd February and my partner & I have been trying since then.
I do not ovulate regularly. But, I have had ultrasounds, internal exams and blood tests that say I am at ovulating somewhat.
My doc gave me a 10 day dose of Provera. The day I started the pill, I got my period, it last 5days which is pretty normal for me. It has now been nearly 4weeks since I started the round and I was due for my period last Thursday (it is now Tuesday). My doc told me if I didn't get my period over the weekend or if it lasted longer than usual to go back and try another round of Provera. I took three pregnancy tests hoping that was my problem but all negative :( BUT I feel pregnant... I am craving foods, I'm grumpy and I have tender breasts which is increasing everyday.
I am on the fertility specialists waiting list but have been prioritised as 'routine' which means it could be 18months before I am seen.
I am young, and healthy and I know I shouldn't stress over this but this is what WE BOTH WANT NOW.
Anyone have any advice??

You're either ovulating or you're not an easy way to have some control yourself and find out what's going on with your cycle is to chart and use opks. We have a group on here that would be happy to help you. All lovely ladies and friendly. I'm on my phone and didn't want to read and run, hopefully one of the ladies will see and link you our group.

Regarding your pregnancy symptoms, the really sucky part is they are also normal symptoms in the week before your period. Annoying right! You could possibly be pregnant and it's too early to test though. Only time will tell

What is OPKS? I started charting my morning temperatures when I started taking Provera.
I usually get hungry and grumpy before my periods lol but never tender so that's really what is making me wonder!

Ovulation prediction kits

Tell you when a hormone surges to trigger ovulation. Works just like a pregnancy test.

Sometimes when your cycle is out of whack you can get symptoms you wouldn't normally get. After being pregnant your symptoms can also change. Just to keep you guessing!

No room? How strange! I haven't heard of it doing that before. Was that the forums or just signing up to do charting?

So you took the provera, got a period, haven't taken any more and no "next" period - is that right? If that's the case I would maybe wait a week, just in case nature decides to do it's thing, and then take another round of provera. It sounds odd to me that you got your period the day you started the pill though as I thought provera worked by creating a progesterone withdrawal bleed once you stopped taking it but I'm no expert.

I was on clomid (to make me ovulate) and provera together. The first time I took provera it took 5 days for me to get a period after taking the last pill. My bloodwork showed I didn't ovulate so I took it again the following month and it took 9 days after taking the last pill to get my period. Bloodwork showed I still didn't ovulate so I took another round the following month and just never got another period because the little growing blip inside my uterus disagrees with the doctors that I didn't ovulate so frankly I don't trust in the doctors ability to tell if you're ovulating or not.

Just be aware that provera is not a fertility drug in itself, it simply brings on a period. It took me 18 months to get to this position and I am a very impatient person so I understand how you feel. I'd recommend trying a new Dr if you don't feel like yours is listening to you and addressing your concerns. Have you been diagnosed with PCOS or anything?
