Hello ladies! I've been reading this forum for a couple of months now. Today I finally decided to register and ask for help. I will start from the beginning so it will be clear what I'm asking for. When I was 20 I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. I couldn't understand why it happened with me. I've been always dreaming about big family. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. My parents have been together for 40 years already! They've always been an example for me. But my diagnosis changed me completely. I thought I will never meet a man, who will love me with my problem. Who wants to be with a woman, who cannot have children? That was what I was thinking about. I closed in my room and I was trying to go outside as rare as possible. I started to be afraid of people. I didn't hang out with friends. I put an end on myself. But one day husband of my older sister came to visit parents. It happened so he was with his friend. When I remember that day I can't hold back my smile)) It was love from the first sight! I don't know how but it cured my heart and my mind. Suddenly I realized that my problem is not that huge anyway. There are so many people, who have problems much worst then mine and they keep on living no matter what! We start dating soon after we met. And I told him the truth. Of course I was afraid to lose him. But he supported me and said 'We'll figure it out together!' We've been married for 3 years already. We think it's time for us to have children. The only solution for us is IVF with donor egg. But we are confused and don't know what clinic is better to choose? What should be considered? I will be grateful for any help!

Your story is so romantic) I think love really cures people. And when you find your soul mate, together you can do impossible! I also can’t have kids without medical help. I was diagnosed with Turner syndrome. Our only solution was egg donation. When we were looking for clinic, the main criteria for us were positive reviews, professional doctors and good service. We’ve chosen Ukrainian clinic. Our neighbors tried donation there and the procedure was successful. They shared their thoughts about the clinic and the process with us. Also we’ve read many positive reviews about other couples experience with this clinic. The clinic has good specialists and high rates of successful treatments and fertilization procedures. I’ve got pregnant from 2nd attempt. Now I have my precious girl. I wish you luck in your search! If you have questions please feel free to ask!

Thank you so much for your support and useful tips. I will definitely consider all you've mentioned! I'm from Texas. At first we were thinking to have de ivf here in US. But prices are too high for us. We want to save some money for our future baby. And if we have this procedure here we just leave with nothing…

Could you please tell more about this clinic? Was it hard to communicate? What about the price? Usually clinics pull everything to the last penny. Did you stay at the hotel? How did you get to the clinic? By subway? Was the clinic easy to find for the foreigner? I'm very sorry for my questioning) I want to be prepared for all complications if it's possible. I'm so scared to go abroad, so far away from home. I don't know how this process can be done without knowing language. Also there are so many fake agencies. I want to stay positive, but all these thought never left my mind…

Sure you may ask whatever you need) The clinic is called BioTexCom. Their doctors are really good. They help even in the most severe cases! They proposed us 5 attempts of donation. In case of failure they promised to return our money. There were no problems with communication. They provided us with a manager, who spoke English fluently. She translated everything for us and answered all our questions. There were no misunderstandings, everything was clear. So don’t worry about that) Speaking about the price, the clinic has packages for their services. You choose the right package for you and pay this single price. There were no extra charges! This was really a pleasant fact for us. We stayed at the comfortable apartment, which was provided by the clinic. Its cost had already been included into the package of services. We were met by taxi driver in the airport and taxi was carrying us everywhere we needed, including the clinic. The taxi was also provided by the clinic and its cost had already been included into the package of services. Also the clinic provided us with food.

Everything sounds pretty good! It seems clinic counted each detail so foreign patients will feel themselves in full comfort. Because we counted how much it will cost to hire taxi, translator and staying at hotel and price turned out to be huge! Could you please tell more about the package you've chosen? And how much did you pay? Did you pay all sum at once? I'm a little bit afraid to give all money right away. Was there some additional fees? I've read reviews that some clinics start to demand more money after signing a contract. And you have no other variant but pay more… Does the clinic have some other packages? What if I need only one attempt? But anyway it's surprised me that the clinic repays money for failure! And also I have a very big concern. There is war in Ukraine. Is it safe to go there? I’ve seen so many horrible reports from the news. Innocent people die there, whole cities turn into ruins. Maybe now is not the best time to go there?

I completely agree with you about their service. I felt no discomfort in Ukraine. Usually when you go to foreign country, you don't know what and how to do. But when we arrived at Kiev, we were met by taxi driver. Also we were transported across the city. We were not supposed to find clinic and accommodation by ourselves. Our manager didn't leave us for a second. She translated for us and answered our questions. So I have absolutely no complaints. Speaking about price I understand you. Each penny counts in such situation. Because costs will be very high after baby birth. So there is no spare cash. And it much easier financially to pay in parts. We've chosen package called 'Success' for 9 900 euros. This package is ideal for couples, who wish to avoid risk. The package implies five attempts. I've got pregnant from the 2nd attempt. The payment was divided into 2 parts. So we paid 4 950 during first visit and second half of money during second visit. Also the clinic has 'Double package' for 6 900 euros, where you can have 2 attempts. If you choose 'Economy package' for 4 900 euros, you'll have one attempt of de ivf. We were never asked to pay more money! So the only amount we paid was 9 900 euros, which was specified in our contract. Speaking about war we were nervous too. We didn’t know what picture we’ll see after we leave our plane. Especially after watching some videos we were in so much panic! But I assure you it’s one of the most peaceful and friendly cities in the world. It's absolutely safe in Kiev. The hostilities take place in east part of Ukraine. So you have nothing to concern about. The only thing you should think about is your future baby.

Thank you so much for all this details! I hope I don't bother you too much) How do they choose egg donors? How can you be sure they are healthy? Did you choose donor by yourself? I watch some videos about unhealthy egg donors. Some clinics don't make tests so baby may be born with genetic diseases. This scared me to death! I don't want my child suffer physically and mentally from bullying and reproaches. I want to ask you just a couple more things) I hope you don't mind) How much time did you visit the clinic? And what was with transportation and housing? I mean the clinic provides all these services during first visit. But what with other times? What about medical tests and ultrasounds? Did you have to do them each time in biotexcom?

Don't worry dear, I'm glad I can help) I understand your concerns. Recently I was in your hide. I had same thoughts and same doubts. You can't choose donor by yourself. Contact of clients with donor is prohibited by law. So we provided desired phenotype. We sent information about the desirable characteristics of the donor to the clinic. We indicated height, weight, hair color, eyes color, nose, face and lips shape. Generally saying, all features we needed. Then the clinic found three donors corresponding to our phenotypes and sent us info about them. And then we chose the one, who suited the most. Speaking about egg donors and their health. All requirements to donors were specified in the package we've chosen. First requirement is age of donor. All their donors are 18 – 25 years old. Second requirement is perfect physical and mental health. And third requirement is absence of genetic diseases in the donor and her family. So we were absolutely sure in health of our donor. We had 3 visits in frameworks of our procedure. The clinic provided us with accommodation during all our visits. By the way, we were provided with food supply too. Our doctor assigned the treatment plan for us. Also she gave us all needed instructions. We didn't go to biotexcom for ultrasounds and tests! All these we did in our local clinic. Then we just had to send the results to our program coordinator by mail. So there was no extra waste of money) The first attendance lasted 2 days. During this visit we had medical examination. Also we were provided with information about the program, organizational and medical parts and terms of the contract. Our second and third visits lasted for 6 days. We had sperm pick-up, fertilization of donor’s eggs and embryo transfer.

Thank you for all these details. Their donors are so young! It's nice they check not only donors' health, but also their relatives. I like the opportunity to give the clinic characteristics, so the child will look like me. I think it will help me not to think about de in future. And no one will tell me that my child looks differently from me. I was scared that that it will be obvious that baby is not mine. And everyone would start judging or feel pity for me. The last is the worst. I just want to live normal life. I want to have my family. I want my husband to be happy. And the most important I want to hear my child calls me 'mommy'. That's all I need! I think it's not that much… I appreciate your help! I'm glad I came here) Now I know what to do and how to do it right) Thanks for help and support!
