Every month about 4 or 5 days before AF is due, I start getting brown spotting/discharge. When I fell pg with Ashleigh, I didn't have any which was one of the reasons I knew I was pg. Last month I had the normal spotting but then AF didn't arrive when it was due (we are TTC) so did a pg test which was +. Spotting stopped, but started a couple of days later, got heavier then I miscarried 5 days after getting the bfp.

Sooo my af was due this Tuesday but didn't arrive - again I've had spotting blah blah but none yesterday and this morning got a faint bfp. Went out then came home just before and have had a little bit more spotting. AAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!! Does anyone have any advice, been there, positive stories etc? I know that spotting is very common in early pg but I'm not liking the fact that this is EXACTLY what happened last month and it wasn't a good outcome. My gp doesn't work Fridays so providing I don't start bleeding over the weekend then I'll go see her on Monday and get a blood test. Thanks

I had that with the gremlins - m/c at 7 weeks then fell pregnant in the next cycle. I tested coz I was 3 days late for AF and it was positive, but then the next day I had spotting and was really angry with myself for testing coz if I hadn't tested then I would never have known I was preg and would have just thought it was AF. But the spotting never amounted to anything and now I have some gremlin creatures.

Good luck, will be thinking of you!

I spotted a few days before AF was due last month and then had a few more spots a few days later. Being that I didn't know I was pregnant at the time I didn't think anything of it though, just that AF must have been on the way.

Samantha's pregnancy I spotted constantly along with a few heavy bleeds from around 5 weeks on. It drove me slightly crazy but had a great outcome.

I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you. It's probably just implantation bleeding

CONGRATS ON THE BFP!!  Not sure about the spotting thing, but *try* not to worry as there isn't anything you can do about it.  Obviously if it gets heavier things may not be good, but at this point you are pregnant!!

Yep a BFP is a BFP and if you've tested after AF is due then in theory it's not a chemical m/c starting IYKWIM?

I spotted brown (and sometimes quite heavily) from about 6 weeks through to 10 weeks and I know there's some other ladies in the pg boards who def spotte around their period time!

A blood test is of course a better way to confirm pg I think, but my understaning is that until your progesterone is high enough to 'sustain' pregnancy, then you may well spot for a little bit. I guess that could take  few days or a week for some people?

Good luck hun, and congrats on the BFP!

Thanks guys. Spotting is becoming heavier and the hpt I just did didn't even register a bfp (2 did yesterday) so looks like another early mc. Just waiting to start bleeding properly now. Bad timing as we are having a bit of a party here tomorrow for hubby's 30th

Oh I am so sorry. Thinking of you heaps.
Maybe don't rule out all hope till you see the doctor and get some bloods done. Had your hormone level definitely gone back to zero after the last m/c? Hang in there today. I am sending you lots of positive vibes that all will be ok.

I've started bleeding now and just passed a clot. My levels had gone down to 5 after the 2nd day of bleeding last time so I didn't have anymore done. Thanks for your thoughts, I'm fine just getting pi$$ed off more than anything. And it feels like everyone is pg around me and I've had 3 people announce they are pg last week

Back to the beginning AGAIN..... lol.

Sorry to hear that Kelly.

It might be worth getting your GP to check your progesterone levels. Low levels are easily fixed (vitamin B6 worked for me) and it might save you some heartache in the future.

So sorry to hear that Kelly.  At least you know getting pg is the easy part, I definitely suggest seeing your doctor and getting your levels checked.  Two miscarriages in 2 months must mean somethings not quite right.  Hugs hun!  Hope to hear of another BFP in the coming months!

Yes - blood test on (if I remember correctly) day 21 of your cycle.

Alternatively, you may want to just start taking a high level of B6 - you can't overdose on B vitamins, so take about 200mg per day along with a multivitamin (as B vitamins work better when you take all of them together)

Oh hun - I'm so sorry. I can't believe its happened again for you. Just cos it happens early doesn't make it easier to deal with.
I'd definitely be off to the drs to get things checked out, as 2 MCs in 2 months just sux (and isn't fair in my books).
Hugs

I started reading this thread and was so excited for you Kelly - Now I'm in tears, that is just so unfair, I'd be P!ssed off too hun!
Definitely go to the Drs and see what tests you can have done.
I hope your Dr can give you some answers - will be thinking of you
