Topic: Im On A Mission ! Posted: 16 April 2009 at 9:08pm |
Right, I'm on a mission
I've always liked the idea of a January baby, so next cycle is going to be the one...I've decided, so there
I'm hoping my gyno will be able to start me straight on the clomid, I'm booked in with the acupuncturist next week (thanks to Chelle for the recommendation) and I've warned hubby that I expect a good seeing to every other night from cycle day 12
Who want's to join me on my mission?

I'm in! Both DH and I have this strange feeling that this month is our lucky month. I'm having weekly acupuncture, Chinese herbs day and night plus clomid!

Yay Lots of peeps on a mission
We all seem in very similar situations as far as acupuncture, clomid etc is concerned.
Shezhoping: I haven't been yet. Got my 1st appointment on Tuesday. Feeling really positive about it though and will probably sign up for 4 or 5 sessions.
What's 'preseed' ? *off to google it just now *

Anyone tried reflexology?
Just sent an email off to a local reflexologist to see if she can help.
Full steam ahead

Rillamyrilla, I can claim on acupuncture, too (I'm with Southern Cross) however I was told by my broker that none of the insurance companies in NZ pay out for fertility treatments? I looked it up in my policy document and it says that, too. Who are you with and how are you getting around it? I've already spent about a grand on acupuncture!

I was hoping to say it was for treatment for PCOS, to try and regulate my cycles.... which it is, so I wouldn't be lying.

Ah, okay. Here's a curly one then; I was recently diagnosed with PCOS after visiting a specialist. I told the specialist that I have had an irregular AF since I was a teen, and the specialist has written this in my file and in medical letters to my GP. So that means I can't claim on it, right? Because it's documented that I have had a symptom of PCOS since a teenager, they just gonna say it's a pre-existing condition, right?

hummmmm depends on the terms and conditions of your policy. I'm with Southern Cross, but it's through my OH's work, so it covers pre-exisiting conditions.
I guess it's easiest just to call and ask. Say something along the lines "my symptoms have got a lot worse over the years which caused me to sek alternative therapies".
