I was just wanting to know how long do pregnant women get cramps for

And how can you tell the differents between AF cramps and pregnancy cramps and what can you take for the pain if you are pregnant

I never got cramps with AF or pg, but the doc said I could take panadol for my back pain in pg so you could take that

I'm almost 8 weeks and have cramps most days - sometimes it's really bad, othertimes just niggly pains. I never really got cramps with AF so can't compare sorry. Had them last pregnancy too, through most of the first trimester. And yep, panadol is safe to take when pregnant.

Panadol is the ONLY thing you're supposed to take during pregnancy, unless medical advice is taken. As for the cramps thing...they felt the same to me, which is why I never paid much attention to my cramps before my BFP...they felt just like they would if it was AF arriving. I still occasionally get them now (had them yesterday in fact), I guess it's from everything stretching etc. especially the uterus (mine is sitting well above my belly button now).

Urgh one of the more charming side effects of pg I'm afraid!  I started cramping before AF was due (the month I got pg) adn had really sore niggly cramps that even landed me in hospital up till about 10 weeks. They've come back again now (obviously I guess). Like Kate said, I think it's just stuff growing and stretching in there. I don't know that I ever took panadol for them but I think it's ok to take it during pg. Heat packs might be nice too. I hope it's a pg sign for you Oxy!

I had them prob a week before AF was due and had them since! Was a bit worried when they carried on because to me it felt like AF was coming. They are pretty much that same to me as before AF-but I never got cramps very bad before.

Just feels like a burny pain, sort of like things are being stretched out. Was rather relieved to find it was totally normal.

Good luck Oxy, about time you got your BFP.

I still get cramps. They use to make me worried and every now and then I still rush off to do an undie check but I'm learning that it is all normal and just my insides moving and stretching to fit Squidgy in.

Am right there with you with the cramps.  I am due to test very soon but have had cramps for the last couple of days. Felt really run down and tired all weekend so just took things slowly. Today though the cramps and nausea have been quite yuck. Guess we wait and cross fingers for a BFP!
