Can anyone tell me please which organic formulas are readily available in NZ? .. and if you know roughly how much they are that would also be awesome thanks! AND if you know if there's a german one called Hip available that would be great too

I've got a girlfriend travelling to NZ with her 4mo next month, she's trying to work out whether she can just buy formula once she gets there (one that's preferably available here too).

Is it OK to bring tins of formula (ie a milk product) into NZ if it's unopened?

TIA!

I'm not too familiar with formulas as my DD is BF, but I have seen the Babynat (French) formula at Wellington's Commonsense Organics, and Commonsense Organics also stock Holle. The 900g tins were around $50-60 each. I haven't seen Hip but it might be available in Auckland somewhere?

I'd imagine it's fine to bring it in as long as you declare it, but check the NZ Customs website to be sure. Or someone else might know.

It might be ok if it is sealed but you would really want to check that. MAF are very stern about things like milk, honey etc.

Yeah that's what I thought Ah well, I will send her the link to MAF website/contact and she can talk to someone in NZ herself.

Thanks for the info anakk. I suppose another question would be, is organic stuff in the big supermarkets back home or do you have to go to Commonsense for everything? I can't remember!
