Hey,

About a week ago, Finley had a really rough nights sleep which we think now was the result of an ear infection.

Since then he is just not the same baby, he seems to want to be near me or be held by me most the day, playing by himself is a thing of the past and leaving him alone in the room, sparks meltdowns.

I know he has been ill - is it that or just a phase that they all go through about now.

I don't mind too much as we go away really soon and he'll be surrounded by people all day so it won't be just me.

I just want my happy little boy back

Sucks eh?

Ha I remember a couple of months ago all us July mummies were complaining about the same sort of behaviour between about 8-9 months. We called it "9monthitis" It's totally normal - to do with developing separation anxiety I believe. You'll get your happy little guy back, but it could take as long as 4-6 weeks (although it only lasted about a fortnight here).

Fab, I don't care how long it lasts, but that it does end - yay.

I know its not helped by being ill, and at least he is happy sitting near me, doesn't have to be on me - which will do.

I had a feeling that a stage like this was coming, what fun!!!
