Topic: Breast Biopsy Posted: 18 July 2006 at 11:08am |
Hi Guys.
Im going in for a biopsy on my breast this afternoon. Same breast as i had a lump (benign) removed from about 7 years ago. A little worried as this one looks like something differnt on the ultrasound.
Just wanted to remind you girls. Please remember to give yourselves regular self exams and when you go to your gp get them to check you as well. Any pain or soreness in the breast please get checked out. Even though we arnt in the at risk group things can happen to us too.
Okay enough of that.

Good luck Maria. I had a benign lump removed nearly 6 years ago... I understand how you feel when something is not quite right again.

Thanks guys, all done. I might have a 6 week wait though as she did a fine needle biopsy and I think what ever it was might have popped (she didnt say) but she didnt get much stuff and they had another look for it and couldnt see it anymore........ soooo if it isnt enough for the lab to get a result then 6 week wait for it to fill up again. GREAT. She told me she thought it was either a complicated cyst or a paliploma (or something like that). So will let you all know when i know. She did tell me not to stress, but how can you not?
