The Library Cafe caters for all food allergies and they have THE best coffee... sometimes they are brilliant and other times they are just hopeless, it's great when you catch them on a good day.

For Auckland:
Smith and Caughy will do GF toasted sammies or bagels
Touchon in the elliot stables do buckwheat pancakes
Wagamamas - have a GF menu
Lone Star - has GF menu
Revive - has GF items (just watch for cross contamination)
Wishbone - has GF items
Spgetti in browns bay - does GF pizza and pasta
I know Hell pizza does GF as does BurgerFuel - but I haven't tried them
I can't remember the name of the place - but there is an indian place in takapuna which has a GF menu
I know I've been to loads of other places (with varying degrees of sucess) but cannot think of them just at the moment!

I didn't know about fatimas - must check them out - thanks!!

I have just got an email from Burger Wisconsin (yes I am on their mailing list - it is my fav takeaway ) saying

"Gluten Free

We are introducing a gluten free bun option, also made exclusively for Burger Wisconsin.

These buns are made from the gluten free flours of rice, maize, buckwheat & tapioca.

You can have a gluten free bun with you usual burger, or if you wish for a totally gluten free burger ask at your local store for totally gluten free burger options."

I am not GF but I thought that I would pass the info on as I know that it can be so difficult to find GF options sometimes.

That's good to know Jaycee as it's the closest Burger place to us here. ( DH should be wheat free but fails miserably to stick to it)

I was gluten/dairy free when BF'ing. I ed going to Burger Fuel where I could easily polish off a 1/3 lber with cheese and soy milk shake easily

Super in Island Bay offer gluten free bread and Cafe Maranui(sp? The surf club one) in Lyall Bay offer spelt bread which both Eimear and DH who are 'wheat sensitive' can tolerate.
