I am having a terrible day. Alex is sick and very very grumpy. I have given him Pamol but its not having much of an effect. So he has been crying all day except for when he has had a couple of naps. My poor boy.. and I feel so helpless. I can't do anything to make him feel better. I hope he feels better soon!!

Ps. that is why I am on ohbaby trying to block out the crying while Alex is in his cot. Hopefully he will fall asleep soon. He had a little bit of lunch. I hate him being sick!!

Oh babe, sending you big hugs, Rhiannon is sick at the moment too...but thankfully she is spending most the day asleep and if she is awake, she is just cuddling up on my lap...

i hope that Alex goes to sleep and gives you a bit of breathing space

He just went to sleep and a friend and her 2 yr old daughter came around and woke him up I was not impressed, especially when I had already told her this morning that he was sick and grumpy. GRRRRRR

have you taken him to the docs? Pamol.. even though it's used lots.. is only a pain releiver and brings temps down... it doesn't make whatevers wrong go away.. and often if it's something like a bad ear infection or whatever.. it only does so much. It could be he's teething? maybe has an ear infection? has he had a cold.. cos he might be blocked and snuffly and have trouble sleeping. He might have a sore tummy.. has he been eating drinking well - what are his nappies like. lolol.. the list goes on and it's crazy the amount of checks you do as a parent thinking "what on EARTH could it BE?!"

good luck and i hope he feels better soon and you get a little break.

Well Alex is a little bit happier today, so thats great!! He is still unwell, but it's so much more manageable when hes not crying all the time!! He had a reasonable sleep, and has had a little bit to drink this morning so hopefully we will have a better day.

I think it could be a few things Janine. He has a bit of a cold, which is sitting on his chest. So he is finding it hard to breethe. He had the same thing about 3 months ago, but last time he was quite happy the whole time, and still ate and drank. This time he is very unhappy and hardly eating or drinking anything. Plus he probably has more teeth coming which doesnt help.

Oh well... thats the fun of being a mum ha. But none of us would ever change it would we, so it can't be too bad!! I will just spend another day at home having cuddles... not so bad at all really!!
