Hi!

I wonder if anyone else on this forum is taking/has taken part of the scope study? I am - I had my first meeting today and was just wondering if there is someone else out here doing the same?

PS the scope study is a research study to try and find out the early signs of mums who will go on to develop high blood pressure or have prem baby or have underweight baby born to term.

all the doctors surgeries and hopsitals up here (auckland) have the posters for it plastered all over and brochures come in the preggy pack the doc gives you. It may because it is being done by Auckland hospital...???

I think it's done thru the Auckland university - that's where my appt was yesterday. You also need to fit the criteria - you have to be less that 16 wks pregnant, first pregnancy, be quite healty etc

You can read more about it here

Clare (Joshua's Mum) did it when she was pregnant with him. If you PM her I'm sure she will tell you what she thought of it.
