Topic: Lost and Found Posted: 27 August 2009 at 11:07pm |
Lost - one set of house keys, last seen in the hands of one toddler............Found - 4 days later, and after DH arranged for a replacement housekey - in one of the cupboards under the kitchen sink. (oh and he was the one who showed me where they were too)
Lost - one tv remote, last seen with aforementioned toddler..........Found 3 days later, in the drawer of the bedside cabinet, which in turn is in a closet in his room.
There have been a couple of others but baby brain has kicked in, and I should be off to bed.
What are some funny places that you have found things

I find things in the dryer all the time, and the odd piece of toast posted in all sorts of places - the plastics drawer, inside a decorative vase....

DH lost his tooth (yes, his prosthetic tooth, of all things) and somehow it turned up in the washing machine!!
ETA: He took it out to eat something and someone must have got hold of it, and my guess is that it got put in Chloe's dirty laundry basket.

Found our car keys in the shower once.
Lost Janaya's school shoe for quite some time, found it hiding in her dolls highchair which was all closed up in her wardrobe.
Also came across months worth of "crusts" shoved down a vase in the lounge!!!

Have found the dvd remote in the pots drawer, lying on it's side so was very hard to see as the colour was similar to the pots! We turned the house upside-down trying to look for the damn thing, and found it a week or so later!
Kids (or toddler fingers) are forever "losing" dvds/cds. Cos they slip under things so easily. They're found not far from where they were last seen, but under and between electrontic devices!
Dh lost his car keys once, looked everywhere for them. Then I asked Gia if she knew where they were. "Oh they're in my bedroom on my table" she says. She knew exactly where they were cos she put them there! I asked her why she took them and put them there "cos I wanted too" was her response. So Dh had looked everywhere, just not in the kids room!

I purchased a new hairbrush and toothbrush for 2 year old Daughter on Wednesday. She asked to see them when I unpacked the shopping. Have not been seen since, and I am sure she knows where they are!

anything that will fit through the grate on top of the heater goes in there - mostly toast and spoons
Only car key went missing - found in toybox an hour later
if kitchen door is open everything goes in rubbish or sink (or if its a dirty spoon back in the draw with the rest of the spoons
if toilet door open everything goes in toilet.
biscuit i though was eaten was found about a month later under the tv cabinet
tv remote went missing like not even a second after i let go of it but cant remember where it was now
oh and ive put a bottle of bubble mixture somewhere and either dont remember correctly (pretty likely) where or some helpful hands have moved it
