Topic: FORUM NICKNAMES Posted: 10 October 2006 at 3:05pm |
ok, quite a few of you have unusual sign in names, and it is really driving me nuts trying to figure out what they mean or stand for *HORMONES*
So Spill!!!! (especially Kabekat or however you spell it, I can't even say it, and Paws)
Don't have to reveal your real name, just what your sign in names stand for.
Nikkiwhyte is obvious, as is mum2paris and me, jacobsmama etc...

Ok well Paws simply came about becuase for years my email addy was Paws4thought, created due to my love for animals, involvement in the SPCA as a volunteer etc. For me Paws4thought meant stopping to consider those who cannot speak for themselves.
I also would use this as a handle in chat rooms etc and it finally just whittled down to Paws as I got too lazy to type out the whole thing and also stopped using the paws4thought addy. Somehow it seems to have stuck for around the last 6 or so years!
And now I really can't be bothered thinking of any other handle and really couldn't imagine calling myself anything but Paws.

well, my sign in came from a very perculiar source...well not really, but you know when you play international rules drinking games and you can't use your real name? well, mine as Wizzle - which sounded too much like "take a wizz", so changed to lizzle.

Mine's pretty self-explanatory too! Annie - I can see why you chose 'JacobsMama' for yours instead!!! he he. I love how yours came about, Paws - I've been really curious about that one too. 'Emeldee' had me wondering, 'till she explained it a while ago - another clever one.

I wish I had thought of something more creative! I have always been Kellz cos there are always a million Kelly's in chat rooms,..and when trying to get an email address etc. Plus people call me Kellz in 'real life' too!
Great thread! I had been wondering about some of them too,..like Paws!

Paws... I think Emeldee is the transliteration of MLD - her initials.
(Well not transliteration because it is still in the same language. I couldn't think of the proper word!)

I'm a mummy and my name is Rebecca but shortened to Becks. Its a name I find easy to use in all the forums I belong too.
I know the meaning behind Stacey's kebakat but i'll let her explain that one to you all.

Mine comes from a bit of an embarrassing story.
Years ago I was flatting with a friend of mine and we'd been up late talking in her room. We both fell asleep on her bed and during the night I took off my top as it was summer and hot. Completely innocent I swear!!
Anyway, her boyfriend came round early in the morning and found us snuggled up asleep together. All day he was giving her cr@p about it. Sometime later they were talking about icecream. She said 'My favourite flavour is caramel' and he joked 'Oh so thats what you're calling her now' It stuck, and ever since then I've been cara-Mel.
