My brother is looking for a trampoline for my nieces Christmas present. We looked into the springless ones but they are incredibly expensive.
Any reccommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I personally don't see what the fuss is about the springless ones. We just got a 12ft round tramp plus safety net and pads and ladder for $375 (trademe - new) and Daniel loves playing on it and theres no safety issues with having springs at all

They are spendy eh but we had a family friend who had a really nasty accident with a spring trampoline so when the time comes we're going to have to fork out for one.

we grew up without nets and with springs no pads and none of us had any major incidents (well my sister mate did damage an ankle but that was more a drunken accident than a childhood one)

Josh plays on it all the time we just keep a good eye on him and teach him how to get on and off properly and stay away from the edges.

You can get a tramp for 300 and a net for 149 from the warehouse or i think Kmart was 350 for both cos we looked at them and wanted a net for other kids using it more than anything

We've got one of the original rectangle style ones I got for Maya when she was about 2, but it's on it's last legs. Some of the springs have rusted and it doesn't look that safe anymore.

I'm going to get them a new one for Xmas, with a net on it but probably not spring free as I don't have that much to spend.

We got one with the net, C pulled it down .
When I was a kid we had one with rusted springs, a mat with a couple of holes in it and we were fine and dandy , so were all the neighbourhood kids who played on it too .

The net off C's one, Im using for my vege garden to keep birds away , so its gotten some use ......

i have th super tramp that i grew up on.... no nets, no pads, no ladders and now a couple of springs missing.... we have had no broken bones or accidents on it.. its still going strong except the mat is wrecked now.

So after like 30 years we are replacing it with one from the warehouse and i did not get the net - honestly what is it teachingkids about being careful and using common sense - just my opinion mind!
