I'm looking to get a 3-wheel pram, probably a Phil & Ted's Vibe because I want the double kit for #2 (all going well lol).

What's the best price you can get the P&T Vibe and double kit and where should I be looking online?

Do you jog with your Vibe and how do you find it?

How easy is it to fold down with the double kit on?

I'm in two minds re getting the peanut for a newborn but then that making the double part redundant (have I got that right?) So my other option would be a MB side by side, is that right?

I feel like I am going round and round in circles on this one!

I know sarahbetha did a massive scoping exercise on P&Ts recently (although she got a dash), might be worth PMing her if she doesn't see this thread

Hi, definately do your research!!! I brought a 3 wheeler pram and the capsule clipped into the top, also got the toddler seat with this one - great when they 1st a new born, however it was SO hard to get in and out of the car so I used for 1st year a snap and go, then I still can't believe this - we decided about two months ago to go get a Phil & Ted's with the toddler seat - for when number two comes ... eeeee it never got outside the door - decided it wasn't any better than the original one and we decided the non Phil & Teds was better because the capsule would snap into it, so I brought a 3rd pram (stroller) after selling the Phil & Teds at a small lost on TM - just thought I'd share my story with you so it doesn't end up a costly mistake for you!

Thanks for the link weegee, I will check out those sites tonight. (And, no, I never would have found that thread!!)

hannibal, we have a Peg Perego at the mo which is a travel system with the capsule that snaps onto the base. It's awesome! But there's no way to make it a double and it's a 4-wheeler which can be a total pain on long walks and going up and down steps. So I decided we need two prams I really wanted a P&T when C was born but it just didn't make sense. Now I think I can justify it to DH because we will need something for 2 kids AND he gets annoyed with the wheels on the PP quite a lot.

The only thing I am really worried about is how easily/quickly I will be able to fold it down and get it in the back of a cab

We have a Vibe, its super easy to collapse (more so than our MB). Release two locks and fold .. viola probably takes 30 seconds.

Its kind of a pain to run with as your one hand naturally wants to rest in the middle of the handle, but it cant because the brake is there.

We got ours at baby city using the discount voucher in the bounty book and got it for under 800.00, but it pays to look around.

The peanut would make the double kit redundant if you want a bassinette for the nb, you would need a side by side mb.

We have a side by side mb and I love it, its super maneuverable and its easy to access BOTH kids (the P&T in newborn mode its a pita to get to the nb).

Now Elias is a little older, we use the p&t more, but the back seat doesnt recline far enough for him to sleep, so if its a long walk we use the double mb.

I think the best places to get the P& T prams are from the online shops like kiwibaby. Vibe with double kit is $1020.
At babyuniverse if you like the graffiti inserts the vibe with double kit is $899. I know you can buy new inserts so you could change them if you dont like the graffiti, but not sure if that would then cost the same as the red or black vibe.

Also, could you not use the peanut and have the second child on the double kit at the back?

Good luck with your decision. I have ordered a Vibe, I think its fabulous.

No, the heavier child sits above the lighter one, otherwise the pram wont stay grounded, it would topple backwards.

Also im not sure there would be enough room for a toddler to sit underneath the bassinet, even in toddler toddler mode the front seat needs to be pretty upright.

Hence the reason in newborn mode the toddler sits on top of the frame of the pram.

I put a thread on the pregnancy part of the forum with some specials. You can get the P$T Dash now with the doubles kit for 729. So you really get the doubles for free. Some also have the vibe for somewhere in the 800's. We got the Dash. Everyone I know who is pregnant has jumped onto this special.

Ahhhhh so much to think about

Unfortunately I don't think my DH will go for TWO new prams, otherwise I would be getting both the P&T and the MB (LF you are my hero lol).

I love the Vibe and I want it NOW. Guess how much it is in the shops here (Singapore). $1099. If I want the double kit that's another $200 thank you very much. I would happily get the graffiti one for that much of a discount! But I still have to work out how to get it over here

Ooo ooo .. I'll bring it ... it would probably be cheaper for you to fly me over than get the pram there

I love it, its fantastic and they fold super quick, like lilfatty said about 30 secs... if that!

Got any fam coming over soon???? I might need to help lilfatty carry it

I liked the graffiti and would have gone for it either way. The colours are black and grey shades so nothing like the bright blue on the Sport camo that my friend bought....

You cant see the insert with the child sitting on it anyway.

We also have sleeping bags in ours .. so it wouldnt really matter what color insert is in it (we have red though, as im sure it makes the Vibe "go faster") lol

I got my vibe (without double kit) for $899 plus it included the two covers a food tray thing and a drink holder for free at Smiths City in March of this year.

We have the dash Graffiti, I love it. I had a whole table of where it was cheapest....etc. It worked out sheapest to get it from baby safe cause they have a store her in hamilton and I got a $30 credit when you spend over $50 so I got the rain cover for cheap to. I did a whole bunch of research. Try either of th kiwibaby's or babysafe and babystuff for the vibe.

Hehe it's not THAT much more expensive here

Thanks for the tips Sarah, I was hoping you would see this lol.

According to the specs the Vibe ways 10kg, which unfortunately is the max that NZ Post will send airmail (after that you have to use a shipping co apparently) ... that would have been a cheaper way to do it! 10kg for $100 when we were asking about sending food and fun things back to Singapore that wouldn't fit in our suitcases...

I think the next lot of family coming isn't till April. I can't wait that long!!!!!!!!
