Please excuse me if this makes no sense. I'm on 2 hours worth of sleep

ALSO way TMI to follow....

I was up all night throwing up and with the scoots, anyone ever heard of brandy snapping?? LOL I still can't keep anything down- my flatmate has just bought some lucozade for me (what a sweetheart!) and I can't even keep that or water down...

Our fridge has been playing up on/off lately, bit worried I may have eaten something off... Or gotten food poisoning? Both DF and our flatmate are ok...

Something worth mentioning to the midwife?? I had a scan yesterday and all was good, I'm 8w6d today but I guess I'm a little worried after watching Home and Away

Hi HB, I would just phone your MW just in case. Try and get something nutricious down if you can. I've had a few dodgy stomachs lately and I think it's when the food is too rich - such as a curry that has lots of sauce. Since being pregnant my body just hasn't liked things too fatty so it might just be rejecting it the quickest way it knows how. If you've eaten the same thing you partner has and he's not sick then I doubt it's food poisening.

Good luck

Hey, it's probably nothing, when I was 13 weeks with my first I had stomach cramps and throwin up and "squirts" and my midwife said that it was going around. It might be food posioning or it might be good old gastro, cause you do have lowered immunity.
Feel free to call your midwife they are usually hapy to have a talk to you rather than you worrying over it, thats what they are there for. Hope you feel better soon

I had this a few weeks ago (I think when I was about 16-17 weeks) and felt like absolute custard for 3-4 days, eating nothing for 36 hours, not even keeping water down etc. I called my MW and she said bubs would be absolutely fine as is like a leech and will look after itself at my expense in situations when unwell. (Lost 4kg in 3 days - if wasn't UTD would have been stoked! )

You poor thing. You must be feeling miserable. Take care and call your mw as it makes you feel better/reassured.

You poor thing! I got food poisoning while on holiday overseas when I was 8 weeks preg, couldn't speak the language and didn't eat anything other than tiny nibbles and sips of water for 2 weeks! I remember how utterly miserable it was.

Give your MW a call, even just to let her know what's happening. Take tiny sips of the lucozade, just wet your mouth and throat really. And when the worst of the sickness if over, start eating really slowly, but you have to get eating again! The worst part for me was being so empty I was even more sick, and couldn't stomach the local food.

Well I feel heaps better now. Figured it out was defiantely food poisoning, the other day, my cousin and I halved a chicken burger from a local shop. We got sick within a hour of each other, doing the same thing....
Also stopped within a hour of each other... Figure thats waaayy too much of a coincidence, and we were the only ones eating the chicken burger....

Feeling heaps better, at about 9pm i managed to keep half the lucozade and a yoghurt down (figure the youghurt be easy to throw up haha) and managed to sleep last night.... So just feeling quite seedy and exhausted today...

Fingers crossed it means we are both improving!

I got sick when I was about 22 weeks pregnant...worst thing was that DH had it first and he started to be sicko on our wedding night! So not very romantic.
Then we were flying home to Aussie on the Monday, he still felt like crap and on the way home I started feeling bad and was throwing up on the plane.
Was not a very good start to married life!
But the Dr said as long as didn't get dehydrated baby would be fine...

Hey Honeybunny - when I was 6 weeks I got food poisoning. Woke up at 3am and was throwing up and sitting on the loo for the next 24 hours. I was visiting my parents at the time and my Dad had something similar (although quite as bad as me).

I told my mw and she said you're a lot more sensitive when you're pregnant and food poisoning it common. She said not to worry and in all my 3 scans since everything has been fine.

Poor you - Urrgh I know how you feel! I woke up on Sunday night with the 'double whammy'. Went to my nieces 5th bday party and half of them got the same thing including my niece. I went to the doc first thing in the morning and got anti nausea & diaoherrea (sp?) pills which stopped the throwing up straight away. I had really bad cramps for the whole day yesterday and am shattered today. The cramps were so bad when I woke up that I thought I was in labour!

Glad to hear that you know what it was from - I wouldn't be going back to that takeaway shop in a hurry!
