polystyrene ball up her nose. Actually 2. So there we were at the after hours clinic around 10pm. The doctor looked right up her nose with the microscope thingee and you could see 2 little balls wedged right up the top of her nose. We tried a couple of things to get them out but the doctor didn't want to risk pushing them up even further with tweezers.
So now we have to wait until Monday to see the ENT doctor (Ears, nose and throat?) to see what else they can do. Does anyone know what they use and how do they get things out that are stuck up in the nose? I hope they just need to use something like a suction, I'm worried for my little girl

lol okay speaking from experience "lissy used to stick things up her nose all the time".
If they cant get it out manually they will have to give her sedation or a GA and get it out.
LOL on the plus side they say its "very bright" children that usually stick things up their nose, lol i think they were just trying to make me feel better.
Hope all goes well on monday. Things might get a bit smelly between now and then though.

A few months ago Hannah put polystyrene up her nose.
The risk with things up the nose is infection.
Luckily there was a doctor at the kid's bday party I went to the day after I discovered the white thing up one of her nostrils, and also that the lady having the party had a set of medical tweezers. The doc was able to get it out so didn't end up having to go anywhere else.
But I imagine kids get stuff stuck up their noses all the time, so the ETN docs should be good at getting it out!
Good luck

I wasn't that intelligent when I shoved a rice bubble up my nose at the age of 4!!!
My mum made me sit over a bowl of pepper and I sneezed it out.
Sorry to hear you're having extreme measures!

My brother put mixed veges up his nose when he was like 18 months old...mum is a nurse but i still remember (aged 4) driving to the hospital so they could get it out....He was teased bout it for years after that and never ate mixed veges again!
Hope Ellas comes out without too much intervention.

When I was at kindy I apparently used to like rolling up little shreds of toilet paper into tiny wee balls and shoving them up my nose as well. I don't remember how they got it out, but it wasn't anything too traumatic I don't think - will have to ask mum about that one !

LOL I know you will be worried about it at present but it just reminds me of my mum telling me I put a pea up my nose, They held one side and made me blow my nose. I was about 2 though. We laugh about it now and so will you afterwards

My little brother pulled the plastic nose off a soft toy and shoved it up his nose when he was 2.
The hospital put him under anesthetic and removed it with a special tool especially designed for pulling things from noses apparently!
I hope they get it out quickly and without too much stress on you or Ella
