Topic: Best price on Touchwood Posted: 22 December 2009 at 1:36pm |
We've been waiting for aaaaages to see Touchwood cots on sale somewhere but it never seems to happen. Does anyone have any ideas where the cheapest place to buy them would be? Cheers.

I haven't had a good look around but I remember Kiwi Baby have them and their prices are generally pretty good for most things. Actually just had a quick nosy and Baby Universe and Baby Stuff have them slightly cheaper depending on which model you want.
Good luck!
ETA another place to try is Winkalotts

Sometimes Touchwood sell seconds on Trade Me where the paint isn't even etc ( their user name is touchwood_ltd) - otherwise if you can get the ph number of their factory shop you could call them to see if they have any at the moment?

Am pretty sure my folks bought one for my sister directly from the factory in a sale they had. As Febgirl said, give them a call and see when their next sale is coming up or if they have any seconds. Good luck!
BTW, I have heard that they also re-do second hand touchwood cots so if you do end up getting one 2nd hand, you could always look at this option too (although I have just checked and you're in Auckland so could be a bit pricey as they are in Tawa, Wellington I think).

Sasha, they have a "factory seconds" sale in february. I'm not sure if they upload these items onto trade me as well. But I would check out trade me under members touchwood_ltd
I live in welly so was able to order directly through them.
You could try calling them and asking if they have any seconds available and can they ship it to Auk.
As someone said, there seconds are usally a defect in the paint, or something small. My friends have brought seconds, and there is nothing wrong with it.

I also got our Touchwood on sale at Babycity. I had a voucher for 20% off which I am pretty sure came in the Bounty Pack - did you get one of those?

I would also not go past buying second hand. I bought my touchwood rimu sleigh cot for $180 from a lady who had finished having kids. All it needed was some mirotone wax on it to re-fresh the woos and it came up awesome, everyone comments on what a lovely cot it is and I am the third owner

I got mine from the Factory Shop - it was a "second" because it was in a colour they don't usually do it in (sandstone, which I LOVE) and had been used in a photo shoot! It's a panelled Chateau cot. I saved about $300 off the RRP! I emailed them first before going to to the factory in Tawa, and I'm glad I did because they were a bit evasive about letting me in to see the seconds until I mentioned the email. They had a good range there, about 8 cots, from the trends (I was soooo tempted to get one of those, so pretty!) to the standard ones, and also mattresses and change tables and a high chair. The guy talked through everything with us, it was awesome!
