Topic: Midwife recommendations please Posted: 07 January 2010 at 1:45pm |
Hi. Just wanting to her any feedback on those of you who have had a midwife out in West Auck. I live in New Lynn.
I went with Maternity Matters for my son, however I'm not sure if I will go with them again. I'm not pregnant....yet
Just trying to do a bit of hunting around and sussing out. Thanks!
ETA: Sorry if there is already a thread on this. I couldn't find one.

Mat Matters isn't operating anymore. And I'm the same - had them last time but wouldn't do it again!
There are some MWs based at The Doctors in Delta Ave. Gill McGregor in Westmere has been recommended by others. Deb Ross and Bunny Cummings (in Henderson) are also highly recommended by girls in my CG.

Lol oops should have maybe re-thought the title of the thread! Congrats T.A and Charly! Hope to be following you soon You both have very feminine tickers! Are we hoping for 'pink' ones?!
I have heard a lot of good things about Bunny Cummings. Need to do some more researching about 'The Doctors' Midwives in New Lynn. Thanks.

Hi there.
I'm pregnant with number one and happy with my midwife. She was recommended to me by three friends who have had her. She functions out of James Laurie Ave South Henderson which might be a bit far depending on where you are coming from? Keryn Mills 0800 626 001. she works with Kym Amani as well.
Good luck for both conceiving and finding the right midwife!!

" The Midwives" on Godley Rd in Green Bay are brilliant. Glenda Southey is absolutely wonderful and I will try to have her again. I have or friends have also dealt with Carly, Kirsten, Mel and Terri and they were also great

I love my midwife, Gail Kiss, she also works from James Laurie Street in Glendene, she has 7 kiddies herself and used to be incharge of maternity ward at Waitakere. I know several people who have had her and highly recommend her.
I also know Debbie Ross and she is lovely as well.

Haha Mel I just came running in here to wish you congrats too.
But yay for TTC
ETA: Isn't there a Kate Sheppard Midwifery in West Auckland as well as the one on the Shore? They tend to have good MWs

Debbie Ross was my mw with DD and she was awesome, Bunny is her back up and I saw her several times when Deb was busy with births. Both ladies are awesome. Bunny delivered most of the babies in my coffee grp. I wld book in real quick with them as they are very very popular and several people I know couldn't get in with either of them recently.
