Is there a wrap or a carrier that isn't hard on your back for toddlers?

I wanna be able to wear Daniel on rare occassions. We have a spot we like going to but its too far for Daniel to walk so I carried daniel sitting on my shoulders - not ideal lol. But I also can't wear carriers if they are going to hurt my back cause its already buggered thanks to massive boobs. I'd rather carry him on my shoulders if thats the case.

But I have no idea whats available for Daniels size (13kg - 2 and 1/2 yrs)

I would suggest an Ergo or a Manduca if you want to back carry .. the weight is distributed evenly so it *shouldnt* hurt your back.

Are there any baby wearing OB Mums down your way that could let you try one out?
Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months)

I did it .. 41 kgs gone! From flab to fab in under a year LFs weight blog

My sister carried her toddler all over Europe in a homemade one - sort of like a MeiTai one. She made it off a pattern on the 'net, so if you're crafty and I seem to remember you are) then you could make some to experiment...

I made myself a none stretch moby type wrap for my son and it is really good at spreading the weight . My boy is 12kgs now and I have carried a five year old in the wrap as well with no problems. I made my wrap pretty cheaply compared to the cost of buying a moby or an ergo carrier. If you are intersted I wouldn't mind making you one at cost and sending it to you. Or if you are a sewer yourself then I can send you easy instructions. PM me if you are interested.
