Muffins are brilliant - at 3 am when you're starving you can take one out and nuke it.

A couple of containers of meat/tomato sauce for making spag bol etc (reheated pasta just isn't the same.

I agree with the muffins!

What about something like beef stroganoff or chicken chassuer - easy to make in a crock pot.

Or (while it isn't really the weather for it) soup is a goodie as it is a cheap, instant meal.

Small portions of berries or freeflow berries for smoothies if you are a smoothie person. There are some real cheap berries around at the moment.

Sounds like you've got a pretty good list to me! I wish I'd made more for our freezer but got sick on my first week off work and then wombat arrived early so it just didn't really happen!

I made a million pies - made a big casserole in the crockpot, and then cased in in flaky pastry in foil pie dishes. Easy as, well, pie!

Shepherds or cottage pie is a really good one to do. Ive also made a heap of meat patties and frozen into 6pattie lots and can have burgers. and another really easy meal i like to have in freezer is hot dog buns and frankfurters. They had them on special the other day at woolworths.......buns and franks for $3.99 bargain!! and feeds 3 of us for dinner......can not complain at that for a replacement to friday night takeaways when your broke
