Before I went into labour with Ryan I got the show first. It was just a big gob of snotty like stuff, as we all describe it. I didn't get the more bloody stuff til later on in labour (24 hours later).
I've already become a SUC (sereal undies checker) at 1 week to go. I've notice every day, some shiny snot like/showness on the loo paper when i wipe.
*ahem* Dh have been 'at it' regularly lately, but I'm sure it's not his gear.
Do you think my show is just coming away in small globs. If you wouldn't know what you were looking for you wouldn't notice it. But because i'ce become very SUC then I notice it.

I've heard that it can come away in one glob or many globs, and also that it can renew itself. I've also heard that when it comes, you can go into labour straight away or a week later.
No personal experience though, I'm sure others will be able to help.

Mine came away in bits from about 2-3 weeks before giving birth. I got a bloody show the day before I was in labour after having a stretch and sweep and more still after my waters broke

I never had a 'show' as such - it just came away in small bits for a couple weeks before I went into labour, and none of it was that bloody. I suspect that when my waters were broken when I got to 10cm without them doing so already, that maybe the rest of it came out then? Sounds like things are happening though!

Oh exciting It sounds to me like its more your Mucous plug rather than your show. You show is blood rather than mucous. I started loosing my plug 10 days before I went into labour and lost my show about 10 minutes before he was born.
Exciting

I lost some of that globy stuff everyday for a few weeks before I ahd the kids and with Caden I got a lot in the few days before he was born, and I had my show quite a way into my labour.
Bella, I had heaps of the globby stuff, no show or anything cos i had an elective at 9 days over due.
Good Luck

Constant BH's but I've been having them since 28weeks. They've been getting stronger and more frequent these last few weeks. Yesterday I had 3 in 10 mins, but today I've probaly only had 3 or 4 over the whole day. They are annoying.
I thought the mucus plug was the show....???

Oh how frustrating.
The mucus plug is the globy/snotty stuff between the cervix and uterus that holds everything in place.
The Show or 'Bloody Show' is the blood that shows generally when your in labor and is usually only a small amount, like up to 2 tablespoons. If its more you should talk to your MW. For memory it is a sign that your cervix is dilating and/or effacing.
ETA - The mucous plug also keeps out bacteria and germs from entering the uterus.

Ok so if the Mucus plug is the globby stuff does that mean now I'm having my show. As this morning I had a bit of brownish pinky discharge on my liner. I've had a bit more and a few BH's and a sore back and a few cramps to go with. Please, please tell me this is it!!

Hehe according to our first ANC last night, the sore back and the cramps (can) mean your in early labour. I so hope it is for you! GL!

Sarah still sounds to me like your mucous plug. I was slowly loosing mine 10 days before Jackson was born and it randomly had brown and pinky streaks through it.
GL I hope it happens soon for you Sending lots of labour vibes your way
ETA you will know when its your show cos its almost like a big blood loss similar to your normal period.

I think when you have your show there is LOTS of bloody gross stuff, as I had mine well into labour, but its different for everyone, so this could be the start of something
Things definitely sound as though they are moving Sarah

I had a little bit of clear snotty stuff the monday before, but other than that there was nothing. My actual show wasn't much more exciting and didn't happen until I went to the loo while I was in established labour, it was just a tablespoon or so of clear snotty stuff and had a very slight pink streak. I may have had more when my waters were broken though, I couldn't really see past the bump to what was coming out at that point.
FX this is it for you! Good luck!
