Hi Girls

Im 35 weeks tommorrow and so far have had a text book pregnancy But since last night, every so often i get a burning sensation down below, it happened for about 20 mins last night and then since this morning when ever bubs moves around a tiny bit i get a really weird feeling down below, hard to explain but kind of like a quick sting or scratch or something....

Anyone had this before and might know what it is ?

Either that or bubs engaging. He may be grinding your pelvis to find the best position and putting some pressure on your cervix.
I never had it because Jody didn't engage like a good little bubba, but my MW tolds me all about it.
Tell your mw though

sounds alot like wot i had for about 2 weeks b4 i had Jade at 37weeks, & it was her trying to engage, but couldnt properly due to the fact that she was breech (not that we knew that at the time) therefore i had alot of pain 4 nothing really.
tell ur midwife to check its nothing else, but sounds like bubs is just preparing himself for the birthing ceremony.
Good luck! hope the pains ease off 4 u!

The August 09 mums called this "fanny lightening" lol, its the baby hitting your cervix and is causes a jolt of pain, sharp pain.
Its not nice at all, I had it for the last 5 weeks of each pregnancy

Yip I have it as well, "fanny lightening" is a perfect way to describe it Sheza. Its like an electric shock down there. It lasts only seconds but it makes you gasp for breath! My baby has just started to engage and midwife said it was normal for these pains to occur - dam it!
