Good question and I dont know the answer. I have had one on my DD from a very young age actually before she started teething!! And she has only got 6 teeth now and to be honest her first two teeth i didnt know she had until someone pointed it out to me! The other 4 were ok she was a bit grumpy and bad nappies but besides that all ok. I suppose the only way i would know if it worked for us would be to take it off but i am too chicken as her teething may become a nightmare
I dont think that 14months is too old but you wouldnt know until you tried. We never take DD off she has it in the bath and wears it to bed. I dont think that your DD would be able to take it off as the clasp is a screw.
We bought ours from Natures Baby but they seem to be everywhere nowdays.
When she gets teeth is it very hard on her?
I will be interested to see if you do use it and if it does make a difference.

She is getting her molars at the moment, and its been hell on both her & me. She has had trouble with all her teeth but i didnt really think about getting one until now.
I saw they were $44 at baby factory but they are much cheaper online.
Are they all the same or not??

Isabella had been wearing hers for months now, I never take it off, and she just cut her first tooth easy peasy, only a nappy rash.
Caden has had one since he was about 5 months old and has been wearing it all the time for yonks as well.
My kids have theirs on in the bath and in bed. Some people say you should take them off in the bath, but some say dont bother.

my boy has been wearing his since 6 months old - he is now almost 2. He nevers plays with it or tries to take it off. We believe it has helped. We use very litle pamol when teething (and his molars were HUGE!)
I am definitely getting one for no2 which is on the way

DD1 I didn't get a necklace for until she was 18 months, and it was fine - no trouble with keeping it on and it did seem to help (she wore it until she was 3).
DD2 has had one since 3 months and wears it constantly, she is nearly 8mos.

In my daughters class there are a couple of kids wearing them for teething the big 6 year old molars. I would get Alia one but don't know if she'll keep it on?

Jackson has one and has just cut his first 2 teeth a few days ago. He didnt have any problems, except I did notice a bit of grumpiness than usual, nothing extreme though. He did get a bit of nappy rash too but only very mild. Aside from that I didnt know they were cutting through until I did a random check of his gums.
Jackson has been wearing his since about 4 months and I have definitely noticed a difference. I take it off to bath him and bed time over night.
Totally worth it IMO

I bought mine off TradeMe. Just search online and make sure the trader has good feedback.
Brooke has a teething necklace. We are not 100% sure if it works, but we're not willing to try taking it off either! Wee girl has 12 teeth now (at 13 mths), including four molars, and for the amount of teething she's done, we've really had very little trouble.

Esme has one that we brought off trade me. She wears it all the time except in the bath. I took it off yesterday avo and forgot to put it back on until this morning and she was really grizzly all morning today! So I won't be doing that again! She's had it on since she was about 3 months.

I didn't get one for the twins and they have had no problems teething. Of course had they had the necklace on I would have thought the necklace was fantastic, and worked really well.....but I didn't and they were fine.

We have had one since DD was about 6 months- she is now almost 13months and just cutting her 3rd tooth. I didn't notice the first 2 teeth but have definitely noticed this one- it's been a rough few days. I don't want to take the necklace off but am not convinced it works.
