A friend made this for us after I had Elodie and its been a family favourite since so thought I would share:

BBQ Meatloaf
500gm beef mince
400-500gms sausage meat
1 chopped onion
1 dessertspoon curry powder
1 egg
1 cup of fresh breadcrumbs
1T chopped parsley
Salt and pepper
½ cup water
½ cup milk

Combine 1st 8 ingredients in a bowl. Beat until well combined. Gradually add milk and water – continue missing until the mixture is very smooth. Smooth into a greased dish, cover and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven

Sauce
½ cup water
2T vinegar
½ cup brown sugar
1t instant coffee
½ cup tomato sauce
¼ cup of Worcester sauce
25gm butter
2T lemon juice

Combine all ingredients into a saucepan. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over meatloaf. Return meatloaf to oven and bake further 45-60 minutes until caramelised. Baste frequently with sauce while cooking.
