Topic: Low HCG success story.... Posted: 18 March 2010 at 11:46am |
Hi everyone. I thought I would leave a post here, for the next time someone searches for results on low HCG in early pregnancy.
I am one of those amazing good news stories. I am one of the ones that, until today, I would have written off low HCG as impossible and been infuriated when people told me otherwise. After two miscarriages following low HCG, I thought a negative result was a given.
Not to say anyone is guaranteed a positive outcome, but I never really believed a good outcome was much of a possibility. After seeing a heartbeat today, despite low HCG, I now know that early pregnancy is not utterly dependent on HCG results that follow the charts exactly.
My pregnancy has still been classed as high risk, but it's for a number of factors, not just the fact HCG is low. The fact I got a heartbeat today is the best sign so far.
If you have found my post because you're anxious and worried then this would be my advice:
- prepare for the fact that things might not go as planned but never, ever give up hope until you're 100% certain. Science is not black and white and those odd, coincidental, crazy-lucky stories do happen.
Hugs!
