Topic: Dry Feet Posted: 31 December 2006 at 7:12pm |
Since getting preggers my feet have turned quite dry and cracked. Not huge cracks, just little ones which then end up peeling off but I didn't have this problem before I was preggers.
I've tried using a scrub on my feet to try and get rid of the dry skin and moisturising every day but it doesn't seem to help it.
Any ideas?
I just don't want it to get worse and get big nasty painful cracks in my feet. I'm only a youngin, don't need that yet!

Hey we could always get you hooked up to a bag!! No all jokes aside, have you tried pumice after soaking your feet then putting (a nice foot cream is sorbalene with 10% glycerine add a few drops of peppermint essential oil) cream on thick and then putting "cotton" socks on to let the cream soak in, good thing to do just before bed. Must remember not to massage your feet too hard because of reflex points tho.

Hi Stacey
I soak my feet in baby oil and water. then I moisturise with sorboline cream like what Kez suggested (but I dont use peppermint oil) or my aqueous cream.
I do it morning and night and I havent had any trouble with my heels at all. I got it bad when I was hairdressing so I tried lots of different things to help it and that worked for me.
Hehe yeah 3rd trimester lol

Body shop coco butter stick, and neutrogena swiss formula foot cream. Also, I use Bio oil on my feet when they are really dry.

I don't like shoes either. But since moving to Wellingotn Ive kinda had to wear them eerywhere, not like bwing in Arrowtown or Motueka.
So mine have softened up over the past few months.
