Ive got a blue Evenflow bottle sterilizer, one where the lid lifts off and it has a plastic circle to put the bottles in.. I have never used one before and wondering if anyone knows how to use it ? I think it goes in the microwave but im not too sure...

Also..im due this Friday and just wanted to see if anyone had any advice on things i could do at home to make it easier for when i come home with bubs, i have already cleaned everything and luxed the car ..But wonded if there was anything else i could do that you dont really get the chance to do once baby is here....?

Have you managed to get any meals pre-cooked and frozen? I never got a chance to do it before I had the girls, and it would have been soooooooo handy, because some days you just don't get a chance to even think about food. In fact, it would even come in handy now, even though the girls are 8 months old, cos same thing....some days you don't even get to think about food, whether it's because of teething, just plain grumpiness, baby/ies not sleeping...

Even things like spaghetti bolognese, lasagne, muffins freeze well, casseroles etc. I think there is a thread in the Food & Recipes section with other ideas.

Freezing food - as minik8e says there's a few good threads around with great suggestions but muffins/brownies/biscuits/scones are also great because they're easy to snack on when you're BF

Do a BIG shop (if that's financially possible) and stock up on about 6-8 weeks worth of toilet paper, kitchen roll, teabags, coffee, biscuits (for visitors), toothpaste, etc etc. Also birthday cards for any birthdays coming up over the next few months - buy them now so you don't have to rush around in a panic when you've got a newborn to worry about too

I read about those things in a baby book before C was born and I was so glad we had the extra loo paper lol.

I setup automatic payments/direct debits for bills, so I didn't have to worry about forgetting to pay something. What made me think of this when I was preggers, was DS was due the same day as our rates lol.
We cooked pasta bakes and froze those. Mince, chicken etc. A lot of variety. I also stocked up on soap powder. I always seemed to be doing washing (still am )
