Gwen told me about OHbaby and say I would find support from the wonderful ladies on thius fourm.SO here goes,Im randi and my husbands name is Phill we have a son named Alex who is 1.5 years old.
A few days ago his PJs caught on fire, he was in a coma but since come out if it, he is 90% burns so life a bit crazy at the moment. He is in his second skin graft op as we speak.

Hi and welcome Randi, I'm so sorry to hear about Alex that must have been very frightening. There has been another little boy in the newspaper down here and the boy will have to wear some kind of brace for 23/24 hours for the next two years to keep him from scarring is that where Alex is at also? 90% burns sounds pretty awful. How is he doing?

welcome to ohbaby randi, i only wish the circumstances were a little better for you.
my heart went out to you guys when gwen told us about alex. would you mind sharing a few details about how it happened? i think we are all a little disturbed about all the media attention on flammable fabrics that has been going on lately.
i so hope alex has no recovery problems, and will come through this as quick as is possible. is there anything you guys are needing at the moment - magazines, books, toys? something to do while in hospital and to help distract alex?
i hope you and your husband are getting plenty of support yourselves at the moment, it is going to be a long time for you, and emotionally draining until you have a clearer idea of how alex is going to recover.

Welcome Randi. Have been thinking about your son and wondering how he is doing, fantastic to hear he is out of coma. Sounds like a long road ahead though but at least he is still here with you. Please keep us informed, will be thinking of you and your family.

Welcome Randi - sorry its not under better circumstances. We are all thinking of you, and hoping for a speedy recovery. Hope things go well with the Drs tomorrow, its going to be a long journey, but I expect that the Drs & Nurses at Starship are being nice and supportive and providing lots of good information. Please let us know if there is anything that you need or anything that any of us can help with.
