OK - So does anyone live in Blenheim? or even know Blenheim well??

How is it to live there? Is there anything to do with babies/toddlers??

Peter has been offered a transfer there and we are off to check it out over Labour Weekend but obviously hard to find out kiddie stuff just by driving through

OMG Ana!!!! Big stuff. Would be great being so close to your Mum- but dumb for me when I get back I mean, think of me Ana!!!

I probably only know as much as you do- lots of vineyards and nice to stop at on the way to Picton but thats about all I know!

i live "over the hill" in nelson too.... have been over to blenheim a bit, never really stayed long. it seems like a nice enough place sunny and has everything you need, a bit like nelson really except blenheim has the train tracks which freak me out coming from nelson where there isnt any! haha, im a chicken.

I am originally from Nelson too and we would love to live there. Unfortunately Peter's company don't need people there. We figured as Blenheim wasn't too far and has lots of sun too it might not be a bad option! Plus we can always drive over to Nelson at the weekend to see family/go shopping etc.

I used to live in Blenheim/Picton (6 months each) back in 2000. Sorry, I was 19/20... didn't have kids, so don't know whats available... Kiya was conceived there, though!

my inlaws lived there until last year and we went often, i loved it and they found it was a great place to bring up the kids. very community minded, friendly small town type thing but still has everything you need and also really close to lots of good holiday spots.

Aw you'll be close to Annie!

Blenheim seems alright. A decent amount of shopping... not too big... not too small... close to Nelson and bays etc... Not far from CHCH... Sounds good!

Would be a lovely environment to bring up Joey. (Just thinking comparative to my Rotorua childhood )

I dont know much about Blenheim but can vouch for small towns being great places when you have kids... Good luck in making a decision!

I live there, it is a fantastic place! I also belong to the Blenheim parents Centre, which is a great way to meet other parents. lots of music and movement groups, very active plunket groups, gymbaroo etc. The weather is super supreme, as is the laid back, safe lifestyle. Also is close enought to nelson, welly and chch for a fix of "the big smoke.."
...And, of course, I live here....(bulit in tour guide and all..) any q's just ask.
