Topic: Coloured Vomit Posted: 24 October 2006 at 2:05pm |
Im just really a little worried right now, Ella just spilled on her mat she ate almost 3 hours ago and in it was like a reddy burgundy color and what looked like seeds but not, they squished when you mush them, she hasnt eaten anything to make this color today all she has had is her pears in the morning with her losec and her soy formula.
is it possible she has a reaction to soy aswell? Shes not bothered but im just worried its an underlying problem...

not sure but sometimes kobe's is a funny colour even when he hasnt had anything other than milk for hours and I dont know why but you can get foreign bits and peices, not sure how that works but have had the same thing.
Someone else might know a bit more though

I called healthline and they said to assume that its blood and to keep an eye on her and see how she is after her next feed. There was some in her cot to. Also if she does it again we have to take her to hospital or the dr.
Im worried to be honest!!!

if your worried then take her to the doctor anyway. see if you can get a sample, lovely as that sounds and just go. always to be safe than sorry even though Im sure it will be nothing, no point sitting at home worrying about it.

Hope you get on well at the doctors tomorrow. I'd be worried too, and was going to say the same thing as everyone else - get her checked just to make sure!

Good luck with Ella. as everyone said, it is probably nothing huge, but as always we need that expert to tell us before we (kinda) relax.
