I went today, and I have to agree with you nikki.
Parent and Child - more like parent and baby.
I was really disappointed and thought it was pretty average, didn't think it was worth $10.
Its not very big and a lot of stuff is repeated.
There wasn't anything in the way of furniture, or much in the way of toys.
It was mostly nappies, food/formula and photographers.
Not a lot for older kids.
I've learnt more about pregnancy, babies and children from the OHBaby forums.
I did have the wonderful pleasure of meeting Noah and Alize and their georgous mums. At the HoneyChild/Fuzzi Stands. Which was nice.

OMG I loved the Parent and child show. Leish and I defintely got our $10 worth as well as that we got a really great deal on "real nappies" trial packs, Bio oil and honey child extra thirsty inserts that Toni is selling (big discount). Oh not forgetting the naughty mummy pack I got . I also went thru all my feebies bags last night and I ended up with 7bibs, 2muslin wraps, 10jar and cans of baby food, 3baby spoons, a beenie, 2 change mats, 3little swimmers and over 20 disposables nappies all for free...what a score!!!!
Fleury it was nice to meet up and so sorry you didnt enjoy it. It was also really great to meet Jess at her taggie stand.
Im back today with another friend of mine as her DH was supose to go with her but changed his mind. Today Im going to take the girls as well as there was lots of entertainment for them and they are free so I still only have to pay for myself. Im not taking any money today tho, I spend far too much money yesterday But it was so much fun!

I really enjoyed it (4th year now) and came away with heaps. Lots of disposable nappies, heaps of formula packets, and jars, tins of baby food, bibs etc.
I meet up with Kels and her tribe , and got Josh a taggie blanket and ball (which he had a ball with when we got home).
Brought a few other things as well and renewed my Treasures Subscription and got the goodie bag.

that's a lot of goodies! I'm definitely going to the Akl one now (when is it though?)
We went to the Home Show and thought that was very disappointing! As well as being way too hot (except for the air con stands Mmmmmmmm) it wasn't any good unless you had just won lotto and wanted to chuck away money on gadgets *sulks*

I didn't get any of that in my bag . I mostly got nappies, a bib, loads of formula sachets and some fancy baby food. I brought an ecobots and a real nappy and some Bio Oil. I did want to buy a HC but they only had them in white, and it was good to find out where to buy them from.
Apart from the Bio Oil its all going to my Matron of Honor for her 6 month old daughter.
I thought there could have been more variety.
Two Blondini's we found that with the Home Show - now that we have our own home we can't afford anything they have there

Fleury I was cheeky and asked if I could have the nappy hanging up lol. I got the lavender one and at $25 what a great price for the Honey child nappy and super absorbant insert. I also go the bio oil great saving. I got the trial nappy was a great bargain for $5.
Ooo I would love to go to the Auckland one just for the freebies hehehe and cheapsflights would be even better lol. Dreams are free lmao!

I would like to see the Akl one as its probably a lot bigger and more stuff, maybe next year.
Will have to get a HC the other nappies I got are both pre-folds and covers, and want one with a pocket. The micro-fleece is lovely and soft.
